Foundation Retreat 2026!

The community we got to build and the way we got to encounter Jesus this week was unreal!

“‘Then I heard the voice of the lord say whom shall I send and who will go for us?’ And I said ‘Here I am, SEND ME!’” - Isaiah 6:8

ARE YOU READY?

MEET YOUR 2027 CAMPER CHAIRS!!! ⭐️⭐️
#FR2027 #foundationretreat2027

I heard about foundation retreat through my older sister who was on exec at the time I was coming into my freshman year at Tech. Now being on exec myself I can’t even imagine what my life would look like without having joined FR! The time I spent as a camper getting plugged into community and learning more about Christ and how to walk out in my faith as a came into college was foundational (pun intended). Then as a counselor last year, my love for foundation retreat and what we stand for just exponentially increased! Getting to lead a small group with my co, speak life into the incoming students and see how they found friendships just as I had filled my cup. I didn’t know what this year had in store but I knew I wanted to put my yes on the table and allow the Lord to do the rest! Now being a few weeks into serving as one of the camper chairs, I can see how the Lord has worked in my life for me to be here! I’m so excited to see everything the Lord is going to do through foundation retreat this year and can’t thank him enough that I get to be a part of it!!!

Hey everyone my name is Jesse Chang and I’m a Junior at South Plains College studying Kinesiology. I was a Team Lead for Green Team last year (Shrek Em) and I’m now serving as the Camper Chair for Foundation! Foundation Retreat was such a cool experience to be a part of and has helped shaped what my idea of Godly community can look like. I’m looking forward to what God is going to do through this ministry and after!

MEET YOUR 2027 COUNSELOR CHAIRS!!! ⭐️⭐️
#FR2027 #foundationretreat2027

Hey everyone!! I’m Megan Kerns and I’ll be serving as one of the counselor chairs this year! I’m a junior studying supply chain and data analytics. I have been apart of foundation retreat as a camper, counselor, team lead, and now exec!! Foundation retreat has played such a special role in my life as it truly set me up for success when I moved to Lubbock by providing Christ-driven community and friendships! I can’t wait to see all what the Lord has in store for foundation retreat 2027!!

What’s up, my name is Andrew Carnline and I am a senior mechanical engineering major at Texas Tech. This is my fifth year with foundation retreat and I have been a camper, counselor, team lead, and event chair. I’m super excited to serve this year as the counselor chair and share the love of Christ the way it was shared with me as a camper. My favorite Bible verse is 1 John 4:19 “We love because he first loved us”

MEET YOUR 2027 FR DIRECTORS!!! ⭐️⭐️
#FR2027 #foundationretreat2027

Hi there! My name is Ginger Hunt and I am one of the directors for Foundation Retreat 2027! I was a camper in 2024, counselor in 2025, and camper chair in 2026! I am beyond grateful that I have been able to be a small part of what God is doing through FR throughout my time at Texas Tech. This camp made such a difference in my life and I know it continues to impact everyone who chooses to be a part of it.

My name is Collier, and I’m one of the directors for Foundation Retreat 2027! I love Foundation Retreat and its purpose here in Lubbock. I’ve been a part of it for multiple years, and getting to see how God has used it to change students’ lives has been amazing. There’s just something special about the camp environment, and I really believe God has a special purpose for camp! Foundation Retreat is one of the most fun things in the world, and as a director I can’t wait to see how God works through it this summer!
