Here are 5 records I picked up at @a1recordshop in NYC’s East Village. Whether it’s the 60s beatniks, 70s punks or 00s indie artists, the area has a rich history of diverse and creative movements. But of course I went straight to the dance music section, searching the shelves for some classic NYC house and garage.

Back on your favourite terrace again this Friday @tokyobarnewcastle 🌀

Bringing another naughty lineup of selectors from the region. This time accompanying 3 of our residents is @mizbee_vocalist @tyler.frostt @jude.langan
Mizbee shouldn’t need introduction as she’s one of the best vocalists in dance music in our opinion and has been involved in some massive dance floor hits. She’s obviously no stranger to house music and we’re buzzing to have her play a set for us!

After having Tyler along to play a set early doors at Tokyo a few month back, we only felt right to give him a nice slot later on as his first set for us was just that good. Expect flavoursome house, electro and minimal to tickle your brain.

Jude really impressed with his knowledge of music and on point selections early doors at a previous Foundations at Tokyo and deserved to share this at a peak time. Expect wobbly house that will make you move. It’s also his birthday so buy him a pint if your feeling nice x

Back on everyone’s favourite terrace tomorrow @tokyobarnewcastle

Special lineup this week with 2 of the guys from the amazing @specialdelivery_ncl joining our residents for a proper session. Their parties should need no introduction, but if you haven’t seen or been to one, check them out. They are serious do's and the boys joining us are proper selectors.

See yous under the disco ball 🪩

FOUNDATIONS TAKEOVER ☀️

This Thursday, we’ve invited @foundations_ncl for a takeover on the terrace, joining forces for a night of deep cuts, heavy blends, and the kind of inclusive energy Thursdays are made for.

Foundations are bringing in @paulhuggins_ to warm things up, before an extended B2B from @tyler.frostt and @brucedunn_.

Opening and closing the night, @laine.g1 and @jp.selecta are on hand, bringing their usual energy to keep the levels high either side of @foundations_ncl’s selections.

We’re starting early this week — 8PM onwards.

Free entry, see you on the terrace 🪩

This Easter Sunday we will be back @tannersarmsnewcastle with @paulhuggins_ playing some trip-hop, downtempo and broken beats, progressing into some deep or hip-house, and some US house & garage cuts later into the night! Come down for a drink and stay if you like the sounds! A massive thank you to @joseph_albert_93 for the artwork too, a favourite of his for us so far. by @foundations_ncl
