Hi, I’m the reader behind this little corner of Bookstagram 👋📚

I’m here because apparently reading fantasy isn’t enough — I also need to talk about fictional worlds, impossible adventures, morally grey characters and books that emotionally destroy me. 😂

Expect fantasy recommendations, reviews, reading updates, TBR chaos and probably far too many books.

I’m keeping things faceless, but I hope you’ll get to know me through the books I love, the stories I obsess over and the opinions I inevitably have. ✨

Now it’s your turn:
What’s one fantasy book that made you fall in love with the genre? 🐉👇

#BookstagramUK #FantasyBooks #FantasyReader #BookRecommendations #bookstagram

My favourite genres 📚
I keep coming back to…
✨ Romantasy
⚔️ High fantasy
🌙 Myths & legends
🦢 Fairy tales
📖 Classics

Give me all the tropes ✨
🫶 Found family
🖤 Morally grey characters
⚔️ Enemies to lovers
👑 Powerful heroines
🐉 A little bit of magic

📖 I will happily choose a 600-page fantasy
☕ A drink is essential
📚 My TBR is never under control
🌙 “One more chapter” usually means several

Some books you finish
Some books finish you and leave you hugging them 🥺

Books that made me fall in love with fantasy 🐉
My forever favourites…

🚨 STOP SCROLLING. YOUR SPOOKY SEASON TBR JUST GOT A LOT MORE UNHINGED. 🚨🎃

If October doesn’t involve witches, vampires, dark magic, questionable decisions and at least ONE book that makes you check the room before turning the page… are you even doing spooky season properly? 👀

🖤 One Dark Window — gothic magic + creepy vibes
🩸 Phantasma — demons, deadly games & SPICE
🌙 The Serpent and the Wings of Night — vampires + survival + enemies-to-lovers
🔮 Anathema — dark magic, secrets & absolutely ominous vibes
🕯️ The Witching Hour — witches, family secrets & peak autumn darkness

Basically, I want my October TBR to feel like a haunted house with a library attached. 📚👻

Which one are you reading first — or are you adding all 5 like the responsible reader you are? 👀👇

I HAVE 26 DAYS TO READ THESE BOOKS BEFORE ACOTAR 6 RUINS MY ENTIRE READING SCHEDULE. 🫠📚

October?! Already?! Absolutely not. 🍂

I’m fully embracing autumn — blankets, hot chocolate, candles, cosy reading… and apparently organising my entire TBR around one specific book release. 😂

Because yes… ACOTAR 6 IS FINALLY COMING ON THE 27TH. 🦇✨

So naturally, I’ve had to keep my October TBR reasonable for once. I cannot be halfway through some 700-page fantasy when ACOTAR arrives. That would be a crisis.

My pre-ACOTAR reading list:

📖 The Luminaries Series
📖 The Bone Shard Daughter
📖 The Emperor’s Enemy
📖 Princess of Blood
📖 What Echoes in the Dark
📖 A Court of Splintered Harmony

And then, on October 27th… everyone else can wait. I have plans. 😂

Now I need your help 👀

Which one should I prioritise FIRST?
And what October read am I missing from my TBR?

Give me your dark autumn, fantasy, romantasy and morally-grey-character recommendations because clearly I have learned absolutely nothing about keeping my TBR under control. 🖤🍂

🚨 SEPTEMBER WAS A DISASTER. THE BOOKS WERE NOT. (Mostly.) 🚨📚

A very late September wrap-up because apparently coming home from holiday and immediately being attacked by sickness bugs + chest infections wasn’t enough chaos for one month 😂

BUT. We survived. We’re finally on the mend. And somehow I still managed to read A LOT 👀

So here’s the damage…

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ THE 4⭐️ GIRLIES

🔥 What Fury Brings — did NOT expect to love this as much as I did. What a surprise.

🌑 Duskbound — when the sequel is somehow BETTER than the first??? 👏

💀 The Dark Lord’s Guide to Honeymooning — FABULOUS. No notes. 😂

🌿 Servant of Earth

⚔️ A Promise So Bold and Broken

🔥 A Bond So Fierce and Fragile

⭐️⭐️⭐️ THE “I LIKED IT BUT…” CLUB

🌴 Tourist Season

🍂 Harvest Season

🌹 Seven Deadly Thorns

🔥 Burn of the Everflame — giving this 3⭐️ actually hurt me. I wanted MORE. 😭

🩸 Sunrise on the Reaping

⭐️⭐️ THE “IT’S NOT YOU, IT’S ME… ACTUALLY IT IS YOU” CLUB

💘 The Irresistible Urge to Fall for Your Enemy

🌙 The Sleepless

🖤 A Fate So Dark and Delicate — this one LET ME DOWN. I really thought I was going to love it. 🥲

⚔️ Bloodguard

😈 Once Upon a Demon’s Heart

⭐️ THE ONE-STAR CRIME SCENE

Ravenous 🫠

❌ THE BOOK I APPARENTLY FORGOT EXISTED

Kiss of the Basilisk — never got around to it. So… October? 👀

And honestly, the two biggest plot twists of my reading month were:

➡️ What Fury Brings being WAY better than I expected
➡️ A Fate So Dark and Delicate being WAY more disappointing than I expected

So… September was basically “what the hell is going on?” from start to finish 😂

But now it’s October, it’s officially spooky/autumn reading season and I am READY 🍂🖤📚

Tell me your biggest surprise read recently — the one you expected to LOVE OR HATE and got completely wrong 👀👇

POV: you’re abroad soaking up the sunshine… but all you can think about is cosy autumn evenings, crisp leaves, candles and reading under a blanket 🍂📚

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a holiday… but somewhere between the sunshine and the cocktails, I’m already mourning the autumn vibes I’m missing out on 😂

Someone please tell me what’s the one book that screams autumn to you?

Currently reading: Harvest Season 🌾📖

Greetings from the sun lounger!! I’ve only just started, but I’m already loving the humour 😂 It has that slightly chaotic feel that makes it so easy to keep turning the pages.

Harper and Noah’s situation is definitely strained 👀 but I’m really enjoying their dynamic so far and I’m intrigued to see where it goes.

And after that twist at the end of Tourist Season… I NEED to know what’s coming next with La Plume. 👀

So far: definitely hooked. 🌾

Has anyone else started this one yet? Tell me what you thought without spoilers! 👇

September TBR is looking VERY ambitious 👀📚

I may have slightly overestimated how many books I can actually read in one month… but honestly, where’s the fun in having a manageable TBR? 😂 it’s not as autumnal and cosy as we are actually on holiday for the first 2 weeks of September ☀️

This month I’ve got everything from romantasy and dark fantasy to enemies, gods, magic and plenty of books that I suspect are going to emotionally destroy me… Burn of the Everflame 😭

✨ Which one should I read first?
👀 And be honest… how many books are on your September TBR?

Save this post to see how many I actually manage to finish! 📖
