I don’t know if this
will help someone.

It helped me.

People say ADHD is a
super power.

It’s not.

Are we Hollywood?

Depends who you are,
I guess.

You can’t bottle all
people with ADHD as
one type of person.

For me, my brain
runs wild with a
word I now dislike,

creativity.

An opening line,

a final chapter,

three guitars
begging to be learnt,

a piano progression
abandoned,

empty picture frames
hanging,
waiting to be filled,

hours of clips
unedited,
buried.

Everything I see is
a photo opportunity.

Before being
medicated,

I abandoned more.

Not because I
didn’t care.

Because I cared
about all of it.

Every idea felt
important.

Every project felt
like the one.

I’d start another
magazine edition,

buy another camera,

learn another chord,

plan another trip,

film another sunset,

plan another business,

sketch a different
way out.

Then another idea
would arrive with golden hour.

Louder.
Brighter.
Newer.

The old one wasn’t
dead.

It was simply buried
beneath the shadows
of the rest.

For years I thought
it was laziness.

An excuse.
A lack of discipline.

I couldn’t pay
attention to the noise.

There was already
too much dancing
inside my head.

Getting out of bed
felt like a chore.

I self-medicated.

And eventually that
became my depression.

Medication didn’t
give me ideas.

It gave me a chance
to stay with one
long enough to see
what it could become.

I’m still me.

Still distracted.

Still curious.

Still messy.

Still chasing light
in dark places.

But now,
sometimes,
I finish things.

So don’t give up on
your ideas.

Your curiosity.
Your creativity.
Or yourself.

Life is meant to
challenge.

You don’t need ADHD
to be super.

Truthfully,
you don’t even need
to be super.

You just need to be
content being you.

Working on the back end of the business today — the part no one sees, but everyone feels when the final artwork lands in their hands.

I spent the morning sampling print options with Tyson from @foxlabfineart, the man I trust to handle my work with the same care I give behind the lens.
And let me tell you… the Hahnemühle Photo Rag Satin is something else matched with the print of Shannell. A match for that Soft. Sculptural. Rich. Portrait.
A finish worthy of the walls it will live on — and absolutely worthy of the exhibition I’ve got simmering for the new financial year.

There’s a real magic in collaborating with someone who just gets it from the first print.
Tyson nailed the tones, the depth, the emotion — all of it.

Can’t wait to show you what we build next.

We’re so grateful to have FoxLab Fine Art Printing @foxlabfineart as part of the Tattoos for Tails Art Exhibition. 🐾✨

Tyson has been responsible for creating all of the high quality prints for this event, giving people the opportunity to take home a piece of the exhibition in a more accessible way alongside the original artworks.

Fox Lab was created to offer artists a more collaborative and hands-on printing experience, making sure they feel supported and involved in every step of the process. That care and attention really shows in the quality of the work.

From start to finish, Tyson has gone above and beyond to help bring this event to life, and we’re so thankful to have him as part of it.

Day 7. TYSON

I’m not going to lie, this project has been more challenging than I anticipated. But as they say, growth comes from discomfort (or something like that) and I do feel like I can see and feel things progressing so that’s a good thing.
I’m really loving the momentum & connections it’s creating because that’s what life is all about. This week has been a juggle with one of my kids sick and 2 nights of no sleep plus work for interior projects so I’ve just done as much painting as I can in between it all. Interestingly, I’m getting more done of everything because I’m having to be really disciplined with my time - every second counts 💛 by @foxlabfineart
