🎬 Friends and family — I could really use your help with this one.

For the last few years, those of us who make our living in the film industry have watched more and more productions — and the jobs that come with them — leave Louisiana and the United States for other countries.

There is now a bipartisan effort to create a federal film incentive designed to help bring those productions and American film jobs back home. We finally have some real momentum, but we need public support to help push this forward.

A Louisiana letter is circulating asking our members of Congress to make this a priority, and you do not have to work in the film industry to support it.

Film production supports far more than just the people you see on a movie set. It means work for local hotels, restaurants, caterers, rental companies, construction suppliers, drivers, small businesses and thousands of Louisiana families.

If you’re a friend, family member, fellow crew member, vendor, business owner — or simply someone who wants to see these jobs come back — please take a minute to sign the letter and then share it.

Louisiana spent decades building one of the strongest film industries in the country. I’d really like to see us busy making movies again. 🎥⚜️

Please share this post too. Every signature helps show Congress how many people and communities are affected when these productions leave the country.
