At @louisvuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière imagined Spring/Summer 2027 through the relationship between clothing, the body and movement.

Hovering concept cars transformed the Cour Carrée du Louvre into a futuristic cityscape. Beneath them, the collection explored a practical question: how can clothes feel lighter and move more freely?

Sheer layers, fluid jackets and trousers with long side slits gave that idea a visible form. White and soft pastels carried much of the collection, interrupted by graphic checks and iridescent diamond patterns. The apparent simplicity depended on precise construction and carefully developed fabrics.

For FP Runway, the collection becomes especially compelling in motion. A sleeve floats, a jacket trails, a sheer layer shifts with each step. The model’s walk reveals details that a still photograph can only suggest.

Ghesquière’s vision of the future places comfort, technical ingenuity and freedom of movement at the centre of the wardrobe.

Paris Fashion Week, Day 7 - familiar clothes with a different attitude.

@lacoste disrupted the polished tennis wardrobe, while @miumiu mixed performance tops with embellished eveningwear. @maisonvalentino explored satin bustiers and simpler silhouettes, @muglerofficial turned natural forms into sculptural clothing, and @jeanpaulgaultier gave archival references new dimensions.

For FP Runway, the strongest ideas were easy to locate: a reshaped collar, an unexpected pairing, a curve that changed the silhouette. Each gave a recognisable garment a reason to be reconsidered.

What does freedom feel like in a Chanel suit?

For @chanelofficial Spring/Summer 2027, Matthieu Blazy explored that question through lighter fabrics, softened tailoring and a newly developed stretch tweed.

Gabrielle Chanel’s own 2.55 bag appeared alongside clothes designed for movement, connecting the house’s history with the possibilities of a wardrobe today.

For FP Runway, that connection made the collection compelling. The birds above the runway set the scene; the construction gave the idea of freedom substance.

Paris Fashion Week, Day 6 - five different ways to shape the silhouette.

@celine played with proportions and personal styling. @hermes introduced air through open knits and adjustable openings, while @eliesaabworld revisited Hollywood glamour through lingerie dressing.

At Comme des Garçons, crowned sculptural forms almost concealed the wearer. @anndemeulemeester_official layered historical tailoring, lace and denim into a wardrobe shaped by the American desert.

For FP Runway, the most compelling connection was how each collection controlled the space around the body. Exposure, volume and layering gave familiar materials very different attitudes.

Nature takes an unfamiliar shape at @muglerofficial.

For Spring/Summer 2027, Miguel Castro Freitas’s “Naturalia X” transforms insects, flowers and animal markings into sculpted silhouettes and unexpected surfaces.

For FP Runway, the strongest moments come when those references shape the clothes themselves: a neckline suggests insect anatomy, while feathers beneath organza create the illusion of another skin. Transformation happens through the cut and the craft.

Paris Fashion Week, Day 5 - a closer look at how clothes are made.

@loewe transformed casual staples through beadwork and leather. @givenchy explored precision and support, while @isseymiyakeofficial let movement shape the silhouette. @marineserre_official reworked existing textiles, and @casablancabrand brought crochet and embroidery into its Brazilian references.

Our takeaway: the strongest details changed how the clothes moved, held their shape or felt familiar. Craft gave each collection its character.

What happens to couture when it becomes a wardrobe?

For @schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2027, @danielroseberry continues a conversation that began with July’s Fall/Winter 2026–27 couture collection.

Couture explored latex, silicone and sculpted surfaces, pushing materials into unfamiliar forms. In “Going Clear,” that experimentation finds a more flexible expression: signature gowns become separates, stretch knits soften the silhouette, and sculptural breastplate details return in body-conscious dresses.

The connection is especially interesting to us because the fantasy remains recognisable. What changes is the wearer’s freedom to combine pieces, move in them and give them a life beyond the runway.

For FP Runway, this is where the collection feels most convincing: couture ideas carried into clothes with room for personal style.

Paris Fashion Week, Day Four: familiar signatures, changing attitudes.

Looking back at SS25 makes today’s collections particularly interesting.

At @chloe, @chemena’s sun-faded, ’70s-inflected romance now meets bold fishermen’s coats and transparent vinyl. The softness remains, but outerwear gives it a stronger frame.

At @carven, Louise Trotter’s SS25 explored intimate dressing and silhouettes that floated away from the body. For SS27, @kai_nh develops a different expression of ease through pastels, satin and sculptural draping.

At @balenciaga, Demna’s SS25 translated the house’s cocoon shapes into cropped bombers and low-slung denim. Today, @pppiccioli places vivid colour, softer movement and flat footwear at the centre of his approach to volume.

For us, the connection is revealing: romance, ease and sculptural shape were already there. What changes is how each designer brings them into everyday dressing.

Which house’s evolution interests you most?

Tom Ford makes eye contact🔥

For Spring/Summer 2027, Haider Ackermann (@h.a) brings @tomford into a room of mirrors, where sharp tailoring, exposed skin and the models’ glances shape the atmosphere.

Open shirts and sheer layers loosen the formality of suits. Red evening gowns heighten the drama, while barely-there swimwear takes the collection to its most revealing point.

For us, the strongest moments come when precision holds the provocation together. The cut gives these clothes their authority; the way they are worn gives them character.

Swipe through our take on the collection.

Paris Fashion Week, Day Three: where does a house go next?

Across the five shows in our edit, we see designers answering that question through different relationships with their own history.

At @courreges, Drew Henry draws colour and playfulness from the archives for his debut. At @balmain, Antonin Tron finds a starting point in backstage photographs from 1954. Both make the archive feel like a place to begin.

@driesvannoten brings cinematic glamour into the everyday wardrobe, while @stellamccartney connects ocean imagery with marine conservation. And as @acnestudios turns 30, Jonny Johansson’s focus remains firmly on what comes next.

Our takeaway: the most interesting conversation in Paris is how designers choose which parts of a brand’s identity to carry forward. A debut, an archival discovery or an anniversary gives that question a different weight.

Which show deserves a closer look?
