These clips frustratingly pale in comparison to the best parts of my time with @focuscatholic Summer Projects. I can't show the bliss of the personal one-on-one times with each student. Walking with them and seeing them grow day by day was a joy beyond words. This isn't much in comparison but it will have to do for now.

God I thank you for this one job: to be "Father" to your children. I love my life and priesthood. Thank you @focuscatholic for the opportunity to be chaplain for your students.

When I die I hope to find out how much my older sister's prayers and sacrifices brought me to the priesthood. This weekend we celebrated her 25th anniversary of her profession of the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. She left home at 14 and I was just 10, to pursue God's calling. She's an amazing older sister and I, her little brother, was privileged to celebrate the anniversary mass. God's call is a mystery.

You know you're in the Midwest when they pay you in bourbon. Great turnout for the men's group last night at St. Cecilia Church in Oakley. The men gather for their monthly speaker series and share some drinks together during the presentation. I gave reflections from a fantastic book for men called "The Men We Need" by Brant Hansen. A great concept that I hold from this book is that when a man walks into a room, the people should feel safe and protected. What an awesome idea. And the last rosary picture is for you @drew_sadoski_ My rosary to match the sword. Pick your weapon, why not both?

He wanted to be a priest. I did not. We shared 5 years together as Legionary brothers in formation. I was there for his wedding, and I have baptized two of his children. God is such a mystery worker, but what beautiful vocations He has allowed us to live. Welcome Savio Augustine to the body of Christ.
