Come watch my Master's thesis defense this Friday at 1:10pm! Non-engineers are welcome (and encouraged to come!) - it will be a technical presentation, but I've tried my best to make it accessible to those with a non-technical background. If you attend, I promise that you'll learn something! Plus, you get to see some live demonstrations with a robot that I built for the thesis.

Zoom link, for those who can't attend in-person:

(hoping my advisor does not see this because I spent way too long making these images and procrastinating my actual presentation) taken in Cal Poly Engineering IV by @frabboccino

Some PCB work I did the other day for my Master's thesis This is an active band-pass filter with an ultrasonic receiver (40kHz). I soldered two boards yesterday and they each took me around 45 minutes to do - no solder paste or stencil, just a soldering iron and a hot air gun!

This circuit is going to be used in an acoustic positioning system, sort of like SONAR. You'll probably see more of this stuff soon. Six weeks til graduation! 😅 taken in Cal Poly Engineering IV by @frabboccino

follow my new account where I post things that I make! @jakey.makey.stuff
I just made it so there's only one post, but I'll start posting more once I make headway on my projects.

(audio on btw)

my current projects:
- rc submarine
- drum bike trailer (part of what you see here)
- my thesis, maybe?

here's hoping that putting videos of me making stuff online will make me want to make things more often <3 taken in California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) by @frabboccino
