...Something stayed with me since we finished the Appreciative Leadership Retreat 🇬🇷 ! Some of the most meaningful “envisioning” from the participants didn’t happen in the conference room. It flowed beautifully while we were running processes outside—walking by the sea, sitting in silence, and letting the landscape do some of the work for them. 🌊 There’s actually solid research behind this, and I will never stop being an advocate for it! Time in nature has been shown to lower cognitive overload and restore attention, which makes it easier for the brain to form new connections and think more creatively. 🌱 In simple terms: when we slow down and step outside, we think better. 🪷 💡 👉 Quick tip: Our minds narrow when we’re solely facing a screen! Next time you get stuck, do the most practical thing...and change the space you are in. 🚶 New environments have a quiet way of moving ideas, expanding how we think, and helping us reconnect with the bigger picture of what we’re trying to build. 🌍 If this resonates, Markos Perrakis and I will be holding future retreat cohorts in Fall 2026 and 2027. Täna lõppes Erasmus+ projekti 6-päevane kursus "Appreciative Leadership" Kreetal 🇬🇷. Kursusel osalesid õppejuht Kristi Mumm, I kooliastme juht Liis-Marii Roosnupp ja arendusjuht Signe Salumäe. Õppisime keskenduma tugevustele, mitte probleemidele ning sellele, kuidas märgata, mis juba töötab ja kasvatada seda edasi. Praktiseerisime 4D mudelit (Discover–Dream–Design–Deliver), visiooni loomist ja teadlikku küsimist. Lisaks arendasime koostööd, positiivset mõtteviisi ja süsteemset muutuste juhtimist. See oli väga praktiline kogemus, sest saime tööriistad, mida saame kohe oma meeskonnas rakendada. Aitäh juhendajatele @perrakismarkos and @allegravarriale_coaching Lisaks tutvusime Kreeta saare mitmekülgse ja kauni looduse, külalislahkete ja sõbralike inimeste ja maitsvate toitudega. From the 16th until the 22nd of October, we had the pleasure to host an amazing team from Estonia, in the seminar ''Building Resilience in Educational Institutions '' under a KA1 mobility for Adult Education programme. It was a week of endless exchange of knowledge, inspiration, counselling, strategy, personal and professional development. With outdoor activities as well! The most amazing thing in fact, was to see the progress the participant made, after one year, as this is the second installment of this seminar.
