Frætwe (fray-twer) is an old English word that means adornment, ornament, treasure; sometimes used figuratively to refer to ‘fruits of the earth’

Each rug begins like this drawing. We make a great effort to ensure that the quality of the original artwork remains when it’s translated into wool. The rugs are all limited edition and we will continue to make new designs so that this project reflects how we practice as painters: every work is an experiment, an attempt to discover new and surprising forms and a celebration of the beauty and oddness of life. by @fraetwe.arts
