🎥🎬: True Jackson VP (2009–2011)

True Jackson VP tells the story of True Jackson, a 15-year-old fashion-loving teen played by Keke Palmer. After impressing the president of Mad Style, a fashion company, with her unique designs, she’s hired as the company’s new Vice President of the Youth Apparel Division. Yeah, she’s a VP while still doing homework.

True goes from regular high schooler to boss overnight. She balances designing clothes, dealing with office drama, and hanging out with her best friend Lulu. Her assistant Max helps her navigate corporate life, while Ryan, the CEO’s son, becomes both a rival and later her boyfriend. Her nemesis Amanda is always trying to get her fired.

Each episode throws True into new challenges: fashion shows, celebrity clients, school tests, and boss-level decisions. She makes mistakes, learns fast, and proves age doesn’t stop you from being creative and confident.

It’s a fun, upbeat show about chasing big dreams, staying true to yourself, and proving you can lead even when you’re the youngest in the room.

🧸👁️: Imaginary (2024)

Imaginary follows Jessica, who moves back into her childhood home with her husband Max and his two daughters, Alice and Taylor. Alice finds an old teddy bear named Chauncey in the basement and creates an “imaginary friend” game with him. But Chauncey isn’t just imaginary - he’s something darker that feeds on a child’s imagination.

The haunting starts targeting Taylor, Max’s younger son. Chauncey begins appearing to him through drawings, whispers, and twisted versions of their games. What starts as a cute bear gradually becomes violent and controlling, trying to drag Taylor into its world forever. The “girl” connection is Alice - her imagination is what gives Chauncey power, and her bond with him puts Taylor in danger.

Jessica discovers Chauncey has been haunting kids in that house for decades. He gets children to open a door to his world by playing make-believe, then keeps them there. To save Taylor, Jessica has to face the truth about her own childhood games with Chauncey and what she left behind.

It’s a creepy story about how childhood imagination can turn dangerous, and how the things we invent to cope can come back to haunt us - and the people we love.

☕️🗽💔: Friends (1994-2004)

Six best friends in New York City — broke, messy, in love, and always at Central Perk.

Rachel Green [Jennifer Aniston] runs from her rich life with nothing but a credit card. She crashes with Monica Geller [Courteney Cox], her obsessive-compulsive chef bestie who keeps everything clean — except her love life.

Across the hall, Joey Tribbiani [Matt LeBlanc] is a struggling actor who doesn't share food, and Chandler Bing [Matthew Perry] is the sarcasm king who uses jokes to survive life. Next door, Ross Geller [David Schwimmer], Monica's nerdy paleontologist brother, is still in love with Rachel since high school, and Phoebe Buffay [Lisa Kudrow] is the free-spirited masseuse singing "Smelly Cat" on the streets.

10 seasons. One couch. Countless breakups, makeups, turkeys on heads, "We were on a break!", "How you doin'?", and PIVOT!

💋⛪️🎤: Terry McMillan Presents: Preach, Pray, Love (2025)

Platinum-selling rapper Charlisa "Charlie" Jones [Karrueche Tran] has the fame, the body, the hits — but her wild persona lands her in prison. When she gets out, court-ordered community service drops her straight into the church of charismatic Pastor Kyrus Owens [Mark J.P. Hood], who's trying to build a new home for his congregation.

She's all edge, he's all faith. She says "Her house, her rules," he says let's pray about it. Opposites attract, but the drama is real — his congregation thinks she's a distraction, her world thinks she's switching up.

One rapper. One pastor. One second chance at love — can prayer keep them together when everything's on the line?

🏫🍎📚: Abbott Elementary

Mockumentary-style comedy set in a chronically underfunded public school in Philadelphia.

Janine Teagues [Quinta Brunson] is a relentlessly optimistic 2nd grade teacher who believes she can change the world — even with no budget, broken AC, and a district that doesn't care.

The staff:
- Barbara Howard [Sheryl Lee Ralph] — veteran kindergarten teacher, church lady, does NOT play.
- Melissa Schemmenti [Lisa Ann Walter] — South Philly tough, knows a guy for everything.
- Jacob Hill [Chris Perfetti] — earnest history teacher trying way too hard.
- Ava Coleman [Janelle James] — the wildly incompetent principal who got the job by blackmailing the superintendent.
- Gregory Eddie [Tyler James Williams] — substitute turned full-time, Janine's will-they-won't-they.

Funny, heartwarming, and way too real if you know public schools. Created by Quinta Brunson, Emmy-winning ABC hit.

✨💔🖤: Insecure (2016-2021)

HBO series from Issa Rae — following Issa Dee and her best friend Molly as they try to figure out life, love, career, and being Black 30-something women in Los Angeles.

Issa is awkward, broke, working at a non-profit she doesn't love, and stuck with a long-term boyfriend Lawrence who isn't going anywhere — literally, he's on her couch. Molly is a successful corporate lawyer who can't find a man who can handle her success.

5 seasons of messy dating, mirror raps, block parties, ghosting, cheating, growing apart and coming back together. It's funny, painfully relatable, and the soundtrack is elite. That finale? Real grown woman growth.

🧳🤣🌍: Conan O'Brien Must Go

After 28 years in late night, Conan O'Brien finally left the desk and decided to actually go meet the people he's been talking to for years on his podcast _Conan O'Brien Needs a Fan_.

Each episode Conan travels to a different country — Ireland, Argentina, Norway, Thailand, India, Netherlands, Morocco, Philippines — to visit a super-fan, but ends up completely embarrassing himself with the locals, learning terrible dances, eating weird food, and getting bullied by his producer Jordan Schlansky.

Season 1 dropped April 18, 2024 on Max, Season 3 premiered August 21, 2026 on HBO Max. It's pure Conan — awkward, chaotic, and zero shame.

One man. Four Countries. Zero shame.

👠👰‍♀️😈: Monster-In-Law (2005)

Charlie [Jennifer Lopez] finally thinks she found THE ONE — Kevin Fields, a handsome doctor who loves her temp job and messy life. Everything is perfect... until she meets his mother.

Viola Fields [Jane Fonda] is a legendary TV news anchor who just got fired, is going through menopause, and is _extremely_ attached to her son. She does NOT want to share him. What starts as passive-aggressive comments turns into full-on psychological warfare — fake allergies, sabotaging dresses, hiring Charlie's crazy ex — Viola will do ANYTHING to end the engagement.

It's a war between future wife vs. mother-from-hell, with Michael Vartan and Wanda Sykes stealing scenes. Classic early 2000s rom-com chaos.

🪓🌽😊: Pearl (2022)

1918, Texas. Pearl is a young girl stuck on her family's isolated farm while her husband Howard is off fighting in WWI, living under the strict eye of her overbearing German mother and caring for her sick father.

All Pearl ever wanted was to be a STAR — to dance on the big screen, to be famous, to be loved by everyone. But nobody takes her dreams seriously. They tell her to stay on the farm, be a good wife, be a good daughter. And as her frustrations, delusions, and loneliness grow... she starts to snap.

From A24 and Ti West, the prequel to _X_, starring Mia Goth in an insane performance. It's the tragic, bloody origin story of how the sweet farm girl became the murderous old lady we met in _X_. That monologue? Unforgettable.

🔪👠😱: Dressed To Kill (1980)

Directed by Brian De Palma, this erotic thriller starts with sexually frustrated housewife Kate Miller who is being ignored by her husband. After a steamy encounter with a stranger at an art museum, she ends up brutally murdered in an elevator by a mysterious blonde woman in sunglasses wielding a straight razor.

The only witness is Liz Blake, a high-end call girl who saw the killer and now becomes the killer's next target. While the police don't believe her, Kate's son Peter teams up with Liz to hunt down the killer themselves — leading them to Dr. Robert Elliott, Kate's psychiatrist, whose patient might be hiding a deadly secret.

Stylish, controversial, and pure De Palma — full of split-screens, twists, and that iconic elevator scene everyone still talks about.
