• In exploratory practices within the field of painting and drawing, to emerge is something like finding air after spending a long time underwater. To emerge after entering a time of resolution is a relief. A period of difficulty sets us in motion, where uncertainty seeks to escape and reach a sense of control. That path of searching may take longer than one thinks or imagines. Waiting, in those spaces of creation, is important for the formation of the image. In these practices, submerging into what is both unknown and familiar generates a profound sense of experience that I can call connection.

Días 7, 8 y 9 noviembre en The Floor, Ramón Miquel i Planas 13, Sarrià (Barcelona). Día 15 de noviembre en C.A.L.A Carabanchel (Madrid). • We are honoured to present Marcelo Barchi, a visual artist with whom we have the pleasure of collaborating on our upcoming exhibition: Emerge-Sumerge. This exhibition will take place on November 7, 8, and 9 in Barcelona and on November 15 in Madrid. Marcelo’s work transitions between figuration and abstraction. With a 15 year career, experimentation is an essential part of his practice. Through drawing, he explores and plays with different shapes, lines, and colors that emerge from his creative imagination. These spaces in which he immerses himself give rise to his paintings, respecting their different forms, times, and happenings. Emerge-Sumerge brings together a series of drawings made exclusively for this exhibition and dedicated by the artist himself. These pieces will be accompanied by a selection of paintings that engage in a dialogue based on the same narrative. See you there!! November 7, 8, and 9 at The Floor, Ramón Miquel i Planas 13, Sarrià (Barcelona). November 15 at C.A.L.A, Carabanchel (Madrid). @thefloor.arquitectura @clubatleticolxsamores @b_a_r_c_h_i Fotografía @gabriel.orge by @frame.collabs
