It's the frame that makes everything 💜
The light, the angle, the moment you almost missed 📷
Composition first. Everything else follows ✨

Every night I come here to pay my respects. Every night I cry myself to sleep. Every day is a new beginning and a chance to bid my old self farewell. #homage #irissterling #cemetery #rose #candid by @frameoverform

Some of you may remember these photos from the old page “Quietly Iris”. For those of you new here, this is my fiancé Daniel Pierce. We did a photo shoot last year and posted the photos to the old page and now posting them here. #irissterling #gothic #boudior #flashphoto #candles by @frameoverform

I waited for you to come back home, love. I waited by the window hoping you would show. I sat on the stairs waiting for you to walk through the door. I roamed the halls looking for you but… there was no trace of you left. #irissterling #darkaesthetics #darkaesthetic #goth #cinematic by @frameoverform

Every photo has something red. It’s not just the photo, it’s the framing. Tell me, would you join me on my train ride? #irissterling #portrait #red #model #nyc by @frameoverform

Red room, black mesh, nowhere to hide. Then the jacket, down on my heels with the red still on my face, and then a payphone at night where nobody’s calling. Four frames, and none of them are posed. They’re just me, seen from where the lens decided to stand. Form is what you see. Frame is what you were meant to see. 🖤

We’ve been studying each other for a while now, the raven and I. It hasn’t looked away yet, so either it’s brave or it knows something I don’t. I’d like to think it’s both.
