Summer photo dump reel *in reverse* (reels are still hard)
Me in March: “I’m going to stay in NYC this summer”

My summer:

July - August: went from NYC to Baltimore to DC for a Yankees filled weekend. Then spent 24 hrs in Milan, took a wonderful family trip back to Bari, hopped over to Amsterdam for World Pride, flew home and packed up for yet another Weather-filled #ElementsFest (my 8th 💀) #BingBing

September: started with Labor Day weekend in Chicago (shoutout the Chicago ShipFam for a perfect weekend) for #Arc, and wrapped it up back at #ExpertsOnly with some absolute faves.

We danced, we laughed, we ate, we drank, we took planes, trains, buses, and boats. believe it or not we worked (booooo), and we squeezed in some beach days! And I clearly had a favorite dress ☀️ 😂

Cheers to all my friends and family who are always down for it all. 🍻 I’m sure I missed some highlights but I did my best.

Summer Solstice means a Spring season dump of everything we’ve been up to the last few months.
Buddy days > family hangs > movie matinee > nurses week > return to Webster Hall > Return to Movement and TV Lounge sunrises > RooDemption with SooperGroop > dancing with friends in Brooklyn

The Instagram grid is now a depth of hell I’ve never known before so here is a reel from the first 1/4 of the year.
From Polar plunging on NYD to hopping on a quick frozen train to Philly, brunch that turned into morning, to record breaking snowstorms (and partying in a snow globe) to dinners and more friends and more dancing and last but not least FINALLY my first time seeing Carl Cox this weekend!!!!

I was gonna use this recap to try to reflect on 10 years of being a part of this community but I genuinely can’t find the words yet — so for now Im just gonna post this reel (because the new Instagram grid makes it impossible to just pick photos) and relish in how lucky I am to do the coolest shit in the world.

Our final @thefriendshipofficial sail has once again left me with a jar full of memories:
From bacon bitch brunch to the 1800 preparty, to the final embarkation and sail away, finally hosting a Dial-A-DJ, GRADUATING, trinkets & trolls, private island parties, the sunrise sermon, sloshing away at the hot tub party til noon, demanding cats, and loving up on #AllMyFriends in between … I am so thankful for the community I’ve found, and I wouldn’t change any of it.

Special thanks to @destructoamf for throwing a (really awesome) party on some really awesome ships for so many years — it’s never been just that, and while this might be the end of this era, I’m looking forward to whatever else we all have in store 😉 by @fran__cescaa

I started my 32nd year literally broken on the floor in Thailand, stuck on a couch in our Airbnb until we left the next day, and didn’t tell anyone about it until I flew 10000 miles home on crutches😂

To say I’m already feeling the love today/this weekend is an absolute understatement.
32 was FILLED with ups and downs - I was forced to slow down, to accept help, pick up new hobbies (I learned to sew and i just finished my 30th book this year) — only to do the absolute MOST and say yes to anything I could.
I hit 15? cities and 6 festivals (this is insane I don’t know who I think I am) in 7 countries. I danced, I laughed, I cried like a baby, and I even worked - I was part of piloting a new CTICU program in the hospital.
I stood up for myself, and I held back nothing.

Today is unequivocally about ME - celebrating everything I’ve accomplished this year, appreciating the absolute village I’ve created for myself over the last 33 years, and holding hope for the future I will create.

Always celebrate yourself - birthdays are really cool once you learn to do that.

So Cheers to me, my 33rd trip around the sun ☀️ , and how lucky I am to be here and live the life I have 💜🍻🥳 by @fran__cescaa

May: Bibi’s return + Four Tet & Friends & Skrillex surprise at Under the K.
Detroit for #Movement!!!

June: #Bonnaroo with Soopergroop turned Nashville Bummeroo BBQ; first Buccees experience, Dombresky & friends at KDC, Mochakk at the pier.

July: Rome > Bari > Brussels > Boom for #TOMORROWLAND >> Amsterdam > London (cancelled flight LOL) > NYC
birthdays and summer strolls.

August: beach days, Elements Fest #7 in PA, then Tulum to celebrate my girl getting married!

September: wrapped it up at #ExpertsOnly - right at home in NYC. And right where I started festival-ing in 2012 at Randall’s Island😉

This was hands down the best @elementsfestival since changing locations to the Pocono Raceway. And finally NO RAIN!!!! I honestly can’t believe it. My 7th Elements , probably my first fest without rain in as many years if not longer 😂 Also my first time volunteering for a fest so super shoutout to @superslyraver and @shifthappensvolunteers for making that happen.
I had a phenomenal time hanging at HQ, vibing at camp with all my friends, dancing at sets at all times of the day and night and running around the forest — and I absolutely LOVED bringing this furry funky mirror totem to remind everyone around me how beautiful they are!

I have no voice (shocking) and my legs are killing me, but it’s all part of the fun. This is the perfect wrap up to my (planned) festivals for the year, so — until next time 🌈🪩 by @fran__cescaa

What can I even say about Tomorrowland…
The absolute mecca of electronic fests.
It always seemed like a pipe dream — literally from watching recap videos in a frat house in 2012 thinking there’s no chance it’d ever happen.
I didn’t even mean to go this year lmao. I randomly booked a flight to Brussels because it was the cheapest direct flight from Bari, only for @happysheen to say wtf are you doing leaving Brussels during weekend 1 of Tomorrowland, send it. And send it we did!! So grateful there was a spot left to join @alexmuffinn @amandas_iphone and @vi0let.vibez

I am very much into the intimate side of the scene now, never imagined I would end up at a multi-hundred-thousand-person event. When I heard the main stage burned down literally a day and a half before, I was nearly in tears with strangers in Brussels wondering what it means for our journey, thanking life that it didn’t happen while we were already there, only for TL to rebuild a MainStage immediately and ramping up without delay (super shoutout Metallica). There was a ton of what ifs and moving parts leading into the weekend but everything came together and was all truly incredible

This was like incomparable to anything I’ve experienced before. 16 stages of sound, getting to see the Avicii tribute, meeting and dancing with people from all over the world, an A+ Airbnb host who literally drove us to the fest (and took me to a friends’ BBQ when I couldn’t get into the preparty😆), 40,000 steps a day, seeing so many artists I’ve never seen before, and truly memories to last a lifetime with friends that years in the music community has given me. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — I am SO lucky to get to do what I do. As they say — let’s Live Today, Love Tomorrow and Unite Forever

Quick little delayed dump of Bummeroo and a big ol’ shoutout to @soopergroop for quickly turning bad weather and cancelled plans into a gem of a weekend.

Feat: my first and only day of #Bonnaroo after YEARS of @rhymeswithtequila and @senorbutcher convincing me to join, Insane Clown Posse, groop camping, Waffle House, Levity / Inzo in Nashville,, my first BUCCEES EXPERIENCE, and the one and only Owlive. by @fran__cescaa
