My 39 year old son, Michael Halterman, became an organ donor hero earlier this month when he passed at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN. My first born, at the age of 19 you were my baby boy, and throughout life you have been my rock. Even in death you were able to comfort my broken heart with your acts of generosity and kindess, by giving others another chance at life, even though you did not get one. You have always been my hero, you gave me a reason to live and the gift of unconditional love. I loved you as much as anyone can love.

We have had a lot of expenses with bringing Michael home from Nashville, along with his belongings, car, and funeral costs. If you feel compelled to help our family with these cost, no matter how small, everything helps. Even just sharing this post will help us.

My new best friend - her name is Cow - and she is 11 years old. She had nowhere to go after the 24th it's going to take her a little bit to get comfortable in her new surroundings she's only lived in one home her entire life. 💞 by @francesbonn
