Clairey, we laid you to rest yesterday and that was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced. God called you home and I know you are looking over all of us right now. We know that if you would’ve seen how many people came to the church yesterday, you would have said “All of these people here for me?! What the heck!!!” The pastor made a point yesterday that I will hold dearly forever. You’re not just an angel who gained your wings, you’re a saint who we can talk to constantly and you positively impacted so many people around you. Your kind and positive spirit will stick with me always and when I am down, I remind myself how you would make me smile every time I’d see you. I miss you so so much and there has not been a day I haven’t thought about you. I miss talking to you everyday. I miss our morning groupchat messages about the wordle word not being a real word ever. Obsessing over every Tate McRae song and always getting them to play it in the office. Talking about new workout plans or you trying to convince me to do the Spartan race with you. I would carry your to-go boxes a million times more if it meant going out to lunch with you again. Our planned girls trip to Louisiana looked a little different than what we had been planning, but LA is even more meaningful to me now. Losing a best friend is probably the hardest challenge I’ve been given, but I know you would want us to be smiling about all the good times and making sure that we give st pete our presence🥳. I’ve learned so much from you in the past year and the biggest lesson I think Ive learned is to say yes more and do the fun silly things that keep our spirits alive.
