Huge thanks to all who came out to @pineboxbar for the book launch of 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯!

Special thanks to Ross, Shawn (@chiguina2023), and Ben (@ben_inseattle @rogueforpeace) for their assistance.

And thanks to Kelsey and Ian, owners of The Pine Box, where the thriller actually takes place! I hope my sloppy, gin-soaked love comes through in the book. by @francesca.penchant

Another thrilling night at Hugo House’s Works in Progress!

I read from my forthcoming thriller, 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯, a novel that 𝘒𝘪𝘳𝘬𝘶𝘴 calls “A haunting tale of addiction, trauma, and survival that captures the dim glow of lost stardom.” taken in Seattle, Washington by @francesca.penchant

Had a lovely time at @ben_inseattle ‘s literary event at @island.books , where he was tabling with his military thriller, @rogueforpeace !

It was great to be back on Mercer Island at Island Books, where I spent many idyllic hours as a kid in the 1970s and ‘80s. taken in Island Books by @francesca.penchant

Coming soon! Rachilde & Co. is excited to publish the debut novel of American author Francesca Penchant.

Glamorous May Deville is headed for destruction as she drinks away the 1950s at the dive bar of her husband, Ace, amid vaudeville memories after the death of the stage mother who made her a child star. But when a beautiful stranger convinces Ace to dream of the big time, May must sober up if she wants to survive.

𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯 is the decadent portrait of a lost woman against a decayed world, in which love is a con, gender is a performance, and survival is a victory.

This fever dream of a thriller is an intoxicating love letter to noir and to art itself. by @francesca.penchant
