We are happy to share some of the installation views of “Skin Game”, James Bantone’s first solo show at the gallery.

Skin Game marks a natural and more deliberate evolution in James Bantone’s ongoing exploration of the body as a vulnerable, unstable image. At the center of the exhibition, skin appears as a sensitive threshold—one that absorbs pressures, desires, and unconscious forms of deception. - Eleonora Milani

A body mimics the posture of a mannequin. An object designed to attract the consumer’s gaze becomes an observer. A catalog created to standardize bodies becomes the subject of porous images. Skin Game is conceived around the liminality of the image: it originates in imitation and then moves toward flirtation and distortion—a cycle in which every surface becomes a body, and every body returns to the image. - E. M

Ivana Bašić and Simon Dybbroe Møller will be part of the group show “Moteu Imaginaire” at Large Emerige, Paris, from October 17, 2026.

Curated By Cecilia Alemani, the show explores the complex relationships between people, industry and machines. It brings together 50 modern masterpieces from the Fonds Renault pour l’Art et la Culture with newly commissioned works by contemporary artists. Conceived as a journey through the industrial memory of île Seguin and the worlds of imagination it continues to inspire, the exhibition invites visitors to look afresh at the relationships between people, machines and the narratives that shape our time.

The exhibition “How to Live?” opened yesterday at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lissone @maclissone.

Through the works of 20 international artists, the project explores the relationship between living, domestic space, objects and the ways in which we construct our everyday lives.
The exhibition brings together different perspectives on the contemporary domestic space — not as a stable place, but as a constantly changing territory.

I am very grateful to all the artists who have contributed to this project:

John Armleder, Lynda Benglis, Marco Cingolani, Wim Delvoye, Gelitin, John Giorno, Christian Holstad, Bryan Hunt, Bertrand Lavier, Ryan Mendoza, Jonathan Monk, Luigi Ontani, Jack Pierson, Paola Pivi, Riccardo Previdi, Wilfredo Prieto, Rob Pruitt, Erik Saglia, Sam Samore and John Torreano.

Thanks to the galleries Thomas Brambilla Massimo De Carlo, Francesca Minini and Massimo Minini for the loan of such important works.

The catalogue published by Silvana Editoriale will be released in November.

The Ministry of Culture, Bradesco and Instituto Tomie Ohtake present “Sheila Hicks – What Is That?”, an exhibition dedicated to American artist Sheila Hicks, one of the leading international figures in the expansion of textile practices in contemporary art.

Curated by Ana Roman, Luis Pérez-Oramas and Paulo Miyada, the exhibition bringing together an extensive selection of works produced over more than six decades, including landmark pieces, recent works, and a new installation conceived especially for the show. Developed in close dialogue with Hicks, the show traces her ongoing investigation of thread as material, structure, and a mode of thinking, within a practice that crosses boundaries between painting, sculpture, design, and textile art. Also featured are photographs taken by the artist and by Chilean photographer Sergio Larrain during travels through Latin America in the late 1950s, as well as a selection of Andean textiles, a core element in the formation and development of Hicks’s practice.

The exhibition will be on view until October 25, 2026

In addition to surfaces—which can be conceived as places of transit—Bantone introduces presences that inhabit the space: these bodies are points of view, elements that participate in the construction of the gaze. They are discreet presences that alter the perception of what the images show. This shift reorganizes the gaze and its position—some images retain the frontal orientation of the catalog, presenting the body as something to be examined; others radically shift the point of view.

Remebering #CarlaAccardi 🌸
A figure of undisputed prominence on the international panorama, Carla Accardi (Trapani 1924 -Rome 2014) was a major player in the visual culture both of Italy and abroad. Whilst maintaining a singular and exceptional expressive coherence in her work, Accardi contributed to the emergence and development of new ways of understanding the artwork, from the Abstraction of the immediate post-War years to Informal, Conceptual painting, Environment Painting, to art influenced by feminism, the rediscovered joie de vivre embodied in the painting of the 1980s, right up to the grandiose synthesis of her work in the 1990s and 2000s.
