I’m looking back on these photos and reliving some of the most organically beautiful moments I’ve witnessed so far this year. Even as a photographer, it was hard to stay immune to the tears, prayers, laughter, and even the insane dance floor in celebration of these two. Some of the loveliest flatlays I’ve photographed over the years.

A flatlay photo isn’t requested by each bride, but when I have the chance, I love getting to experiment with different combinations and layers of the details. Seeing alll these flatlays lined up, I’m seeing the way my work has grown over the years, but also the underlying patterns in how I approach styling each of these. I’ve never wanted flatlays that looked perfectly lined up, manicured and perfectly spaced: instead, I want them to look unintentional, a little messy, lived in, and evocative of the chaos of a wedding morning. taken in Dallas, Texas by @francescaschellphotography
