And just like that… I’m back in the fitness game!! I’m so so excited to officially announce that I’m joining the @barrys family as a founding instructor as we open a brand new studio and community at Barry’s Hoboken! After stepping away from fitness for over a year, I wasn’t sure if I’d ever feel ready again. But something bigger was moving... rebuilding.. realigning.. and it brought me back to the work I love, in a place that feels like purpose. To the Barry’s Talent Team, thank you for the opportunity & seeing something in me. To my fellow founding instructors.. you’ve motivated me every single day throughout this training process. “MF will think you fell off, whole time you loading up.” 🔋 . . A few months ago, like many of us, I was DOWN BAD. I’m talking not-sure-I-can-make-it-out-of-this-one down bad. So I hopped off social media. Isolated myself from a lot of people. Took a step back from almost all work. And made a re-commitment to myself. . The goal was to get back to my roots.. re-fall in love with my passion.. and remember who the f*** I was; I would resurface from my “pause” when life felt like fun again. . A lot of people didn’t understand it, and were constantly telling me what they think I should be doing.. how I was going to fall behind.. and how I needed to “pivot” with the times... Wrong. . Let me tell y’all something: You’re literally missing out on nothing when you decide to get your life together. This is your story. You write the preface.. the book.. the chapters. And you can put down the g******* pen for a second when you need to. . Focusing on my life and solely my life was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m back. I’m ready. I’m recharged/focused. My Rocky.. My Bubbs.. My best friend.. My furry guardian angel.. he’s been one of the best things that ever happened to me. He was the sweetest most gentle soul I’ve ever known; and I was lucky enough to be his human for 14 years 🤍 . . Even the past few months after his legs started to give out; he would muster up whatever strength he had to try to get up to greet me when I would walk in 😔🤍 . .
