Window installation designed by Rei Kawakubo featuring the work of Cindy Sherman in collaboration with Ursula Magazine.

Throughout her career, Cindy Sherman’s groundbreaking photographs have interrogated themes around representation and identity in contemporary media. In this recent body of work, Sherman has removed any scenic backdrops or mise-en-scène, the focus of this series is the face. Collaging parts of her own face she constructs the identities of various characters, while using manipulation to accent the layered aspects and plasticity of the self.
