Great news for a Monday - Drinklusive is back for another year!

I'm back on the programme too, but as a mentor this time!

What is #Drinklusive, you might ask?

It is an initiative set up by @sypped from @thethreedrinkers to increase inclusivity and opportunities within the food and drinks field. On this 9 month programme, there will be sponsored writing opportunities, social media workshops, mentored sessions, work experience at the London Wine Fair, the chance to sit for WSET qualifications and more!

I found out about this programme during its first year and applied to be a mentee as some one had tagged me on a post! So, I would encourage you to tag anyone that you think might be interested!

Applications are open until 23 March 2025. I did post a link in my stories, which is now saved in my 'Drinklusive 2' highlights tab for easier access. If you do have any questions about the programme and my experience as a previous mentee, feel free to send a DM my way and I hope that some of you will be curious to know more to improve diversity in this sector!

Working that red carpet as it's time for some more #LFF spam!

It has been some of those days where the Royal Festival Hall has almost become a second home to me!

It has been enjoyable being amongst the cast and crew for Premieres and gala screenings of Wildwood by @laikastudios (absolutely stunning), @primetimemovie and meeting Robert Pattinson afterwards at a reception, Fatherland and A Long Winter which are both distributed by @mubiuk

It's always a whirlwind and it's not over yet but I am always grateful for these opportunities.

Some of these films will be out in cinemas on general release soon! Which films are you looking forward to watching from London Film Festival?

I can't wait to find out, let me know in the comments below!

One of the #LFF highlights for that busy weekend is @netflixuk and @netflix brunch!

It's always a great moment in between screenings to enjoy flowers, pastries, eggs, mimosas, muesli and more whilst admiring the London skyline and of course, the pool at 180 studios!

I was speaking to the main actor and director of the stunning @labolanegrafilm and caught up with @misanharriman @akalamusic and others!

Lovely to mingle with other industry peeps too such as @amonwarmann @teanne_tt @anthony_n_andrews @justmiaslife @rita_di_santo_ and more!

Thanks to @netflixuk and @finchandpartners for the invitation! Santé! 🥂

It's now Day 4 and I have been running around in true festival spirit enjoying films and screen talks and there's more to come!

I have 5 films on my schedule for today but I don't drink coffee as a pick me up! Send some tips my way to keep my energy up!

But, here's a peek at some highlights so far of some films and events that I've seen including Andrew Scott's screentalk!

What would you like to watch during London Film Festival this year?

I'm a bit Parched as it's Sober October!

So, I popped into the Parched festival, which is a tasting with alcohol free and low alcohol drinks!

Gone are the days when the only option, if you dodn't feel like drinking alcohol, was orange juice or water!

That's where Oarched comes in to introduce tasty, options that you will want to drink which are not just sugary, flavoured water options! I tried sparkling alcohol free wines, cocktails, alcohol free ouzo, coconut bean slushies and more!

Check them out in the photos - which ones would you like to know more about? Let me know in the comments below.

It was also lovely to catch up with @robbuckhaven there on the @bolledrinks stand.

Are you taking part in this year's Sober October occasion?

Thanks to @islandmediapr for the invitation!

'Tis the Season for apples, even 'Bad Apples'!

Bad Apples is one of those outlandish films with deliciously wicked humour that you must see to believe it!

Plus, it has a career defining role from Saoirse Ronan! I'm not going to say much more as it's one of those films to watch without advance preparation, but my relatively spoiler free review on @moviemarker is linked below, if you still need a steer and I'll post the link on the stories:

A Sparkling Afternoon at Roebuck Estates 🦌

A little adventure, lovely company and sparkling wine at Roebuck Estates.

Last Saturday, Latoya and I visited Roebuck Estates, nestled in the West Sussex countryside near Petworth. She wanted to visit a vineyard, and I suggested Roebuck, somewhere neither of us had been before.

Google Maps took us on a little detour to the back of the estate, so finding the entrance became our first adventure of the day! A bit of teamwork got us there safely, and Jacob and Lewis looked after us so well throughout our visit.

We wandered around the vines, I enjoyed a glass of their rosé, and Latoya explored one of their wine flights. With beautiful weather and plenty to catch up on, it was such a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

There was something so peaceful about sitting overlooking the vines with a beautiful glass of wine and a good friend. The company, the wines, the warm welcome and the setting made the whole experience feel special.

I’d highly recommend a visit. Thank you, Jacob and Lewis, for making our first time at Roebuck Estates such a memorable one.

Casually spotting Portland filming locations!

In case you didn't know, the forthcoming animated film Wildwood is set in Portland, Oregon! The film even mentions that spirit of keeping Portland weird with its quirky but independent vibes!

It was fun to walk around parts of Portland discovering some of its iconic locations.

There was scrumptious food for dinner @westportland with deliciously made Wildwood cocktails that were irresistible!

Of course, the trip wouldn't have been complete without stopping by the famous @powellsbooks
which also features in Wildwood and so I had to find a copy of the book there!

The renowned doughnut store @voodoodoughnut
also appears in Wildwood film (I'll show you more of their doughnuts in the stories) - but, did you know that you could be pretty in pink and get married at Voodoo Doughnut? That sounds totally cool and a truly unique marriage venue!

As always, the people you meet on a trip make all of the difference!

Such a great trip organised by @jrocollective

It was a Wildwood of a trip to Oregon visiting the Laika studios!

I was thoroughly impressed by the extract that we watched of the forthcoming Wildwood film which will be featuring in London Film Festival this October! I can't wait to see the final version now!

Walking through the studio and viewing the innovative costumes and state of the art techniques in stop motion was delightful and it was compelling watching the different fabrics used for costumes and for feathers and seeing biceps appear on the arms of certain warrior puppets!

Such a lovely occasion to meet other film reviewers too!

Plus, it was a lot of fun spotting the Wildwood burd sculptures that are dotted around Portland at the moment via @wildwoodfollowthecrowspdx

Have you read the book Wildwood before as it's set in Portland?

Thanks to @jro_collective for organising this set visit trip!

🍏 Still taking a bite out of UK cinema schedules right now is #BadApples, starring #SaoirseRonan.

🎬 A deliciously dark satire that is wickedly absurdist and engrossing. You can find @franglais' full ⭐⭐⭐⭐ review below...
