In fashion school we are taught that the natural waistline sits two inches above the belly button.

I’ve learnt that sometimes it varies , a woman’s natural waistline depends on her body structure.

So , except you are making a ready to wear outfit, a proper measurement is important when making a custom made outfit for a client.

The natural waistline gives an overall look of smaller waist and not make the woman look like a box.

Hope I’ve taught you something today 😊

I made a sample corset outfit for a client , she came in today and fell in love .

I told myself sometime ago that if your money enters my hand , then I owe you .

I owe you a beautiful dress from Chifix.

I know tailors are many , but you see the gift of making well fitted outfits that will make you relax , I’m blessed with it.

Now, I want to make good money from my talent, I’ve paid my dues I think 🤔.

P.s my beautiful friend was plus one and I’m celebrating her today. Happy belated birthday Ladidi may you continue to enjoy God’s all round favour.

I had a line up of activity today but you see,
My body said rest.

I put a stop to everything immediately and I’m resting.

I have to be alive to complete tasks.

I’ll just make chicken pepper soup today , eat and sleep.

My customers make una no vex, make this designer just rest for today, on Monday we go again. 🙏

The way I put my all in every job I’m executing these days like my life depends on it 🧐 because it does 😆.

Today I spent the better part of the day sourcing for sewing materials, matching colours and the likes .

Honestly fashion designing is very tasking , if you don’t have patience please don’t even think to learn tailoring , especially as a Nigerian .

Ha! This job will test you.

But in all, if you are patient and really learn your skill very well, you will reap its benefits. by @frankchinwe

In everything you do , never ever give up.

It’s Monday , all ready our day is fired up, I feel exhausted but we don’t give up over here.

The first day of a working week.

As a fashion designer , I have cut out patterns and sent out to my team.

It’s my daughter’s first day at school and I really want to be with her today.

So I had to excuse myself this morning from work and will get to work much later .

I have appointments shifted till much later in the day but in all we keep moving . by @frankchinwe

The past two weeks has been very challenging for tailors and designers who own workshops at garki international market,Abuja.

We are no allowed to use generators yet power supply has been epileptic, some times we go four consecutive days without power supply.

So if you have a tailor in the market please be patient with them.

I had to work from home at some point to meet up with deadlines for our clients in diaspora .

Some needed to travel with their outfits to reduce cargo fees .

Nna ehn! Nigeria is really not for the faint hearted.

Lemme use this medium to thank my entire team, honestly I’ve really stressed everyone as all hands had to be on deck to make things work.
