Privileged to have been invited as a guest by the French Embassy in China for a cultural reception yesterday.

It was such a pleasure having the opportunity to chat with the French Ambassador to China and a group of fellow cultural leaders about fascinating thought-provoking conversations across music, heritage, and cross-cultural innovation.

As one who is passionate about unifying people via music, I was touched by the conversations — and reminded that cultural exchange takes place not only in formal speeches, but also in sincere, human contact.

A light-hearted surprise: I was holding the official mascot for the evening — just minutes after the Ambassador himself had done so! A coincidental and symbolic moment that made the evening all the more memorable.

Thank you to the French Embassy for extending the gracious invitation and generosity. Let us continue to make culture speak — beyond language, and across borders. #france #music #culture taken in Beijing by @frankiee_lan
