The wall of muscles did a show at The Mod Club last night and was absolutely brilliant. Haven't seen girls in such a frenzy since the boy band days! Fab night, @donwestmusic by @frankieframed86

🎶Anita Baker - Just Because

So last night was a bit strange. Wasn't super busy but just didn't feel like folks cared much for what I was putting out there. Then the lady you see at the end of the video came in. She's a fab singer as well, and turns out she's a vocal coach on holiday with her husband from Detroit. The support and love she gave to me not only during but after the song just made my night. High praise too from someone from Anita Baker's hometown too. You know you better do it RIGHT.

Sometimes you just really need one person as your cheerleader to really bring out your best. I hope she comes back to visit again. by @frankieframed86

🎶 Body & Soul - Anita Baker

This was the first song I heard that made me decide I really wanted to be a singer. I watched her perform this at the 1995 Soul Train Awards and was transfixed. I learned it inside and out the first chance I had, and it was the first song I ever sang that I thought I sounded truly good singing.

I hadn't sung it in awhile until last night, and damn I'm glad I finally did. When you truly own the song, and feel it, people are truly drawn in. by @frankieframed86

Back in Toronto and killing it again. This is probably the best job I've done on this song. Lessons are making SUCH a difference! #singing #karaoke by @frankieframed86

Checked out The Music Is Black at the V&A East today. Saw a lot of cool pieces from a lot of musical idols of mine, and learned some interesting bits in the process. taken in V&A East by @frankieframed86
