Excited to share my completed piece from the Orlando Mural Festival! This one has a little bit of the familiar, a little bit of the unexpected, and a whole lot of COLOR.

I wanted to combine recognizable imagery with unexpected elements to create something playful, vibrant, and uniquely mine. It was an awesome experience bringing this piece to life for the Orlando community. I’m grateful to have been part @cityarts_orlando festival and to everyone who stopped by, talked with me and took the time to learn more about the piece and its symbolism.

Swipe over to see the original concept sketch and how the idea went from a loose concept to the final mural.

What do you think? ➡️

✉️ This piece is available for purchase. The size of this piece is approximately 8x8ft. DM me for more information

My loose concept sketch. My initial phase of getting my idea for the mural together with some hand written notes about what to possible change or add.

It was very important to create a design that I would be able to complete in about 2-3 days.

Just 3 days to bring this piece to life, right in time for the finale block party Saturday night. I’m excited to showcase this unique and fun mural with everyone. Stay tuned for the final piece! 👀 taken in CityArts by @frankieg_art

If you’ve seen a banner with this mural around Tampa, here’s a quick story behind it.

Before becoming part of Art in the Air with @westshoretampa , this piece was created for a private residence in Sarasota. The elements in the mural were inspired by local wildlife and specific symbolism behind each animal depicted.

The colors were taken directly from the flowers throughout the client’s garden to create a natural connection between the mural and its surroundings. I also added a gold trim around the main mural wall to catch the pool’s reflection at night to give the piece an entirely different feel after dark.

To me, there’s something special about an outdoor mural and the way it can completely transform a space. I had so much fun bringing this vision to life and creating a piece that reflected the space it lives in while adding my own unique perspective to the concept.

This mural is a great example of how art can take on a new life and impact a community far beyond its original setting. 🎨 taken in Sarasota, Florida by @frankieg_art

😍Saw a BEAUTIFUL mural and a sign for COFFEE so I had to stop in and check it out. ☕️

@roosterscigarsandcoffee opened just a few weeks ago.

Very cool coffee lounge with a separate smoking area so even if you aren’t a cigar person you can hang out and enjoy some Naviera Coffee, @spaddyscoffee cold brew, and pastries.

They will be fully stocked with @fuentecigars @jcnewman curated by @angela__yue 🫶 Such an awesome team behind this!

Happy to share that I’ve been selected as one of the artists for Art in the Air in Tampa! My banner is officially up in the Westshore area with hopes to add a little more color and creativity to the daily drive around town.

Thanks to @westshoretampa for the opportunity and to @carltonfieldslaw for sponsoring the banner!

📍 You can find my banner in front of @lantowerwestshore Apartments, at the corner of Boy Scout Blvd & Spruce St.

If you drive by, snap a photo, tag me and Westshore Alliance and let me know you spotted it! 📸 taken in Westshore, Tampa by @frankieg_art

Explored the @banksyexhibit and it was well worth it. The @strazcenter put together an awesome exhibition that you don’t want to miss!

Also be sure to check out the murals out front painted by local Tampa Bay artists (including myself). Excited to be a part of this experience that celebrates street art’s impact from both a global and local perspective.

Honored to be one of the artists selected to create a mural for the @banksyexhibit at the @strazcenter. It was also a full-circle moment in my career.

Watching artists like @banksy and other street artists push the culture forward was a huge influence on me. Their messaging, style, and approach to public art inspired me to start exploring those same aesthetics in my own work. I saw this as an opportunity to create something that felt different while still capturing the spirit of the exhibition.

This piece incorporates elements inspired by some of Banksy’s past works while exploring the delicate balance between love and greed.

I hope everyone enjoys the mural, along with all of the incredible pieces created by the other talented artists from right here in Tampa Bay. And of course… be sure to snap a photo with the pig after you exit through the gift shop. 🐖🤘🏻🐀
