A few years ago I wrote this song when I was at the highest peak of dealing with general anxiety disorder. Every day was a battle in my mind I became exhausted. I had hellish hypochondria where every time I felt a pain or something I thought I was going to die. I went to the doctor like twice a week. Getting blood tests and I went to therapy for like three years straight. My doctor prescribed antidepressants but I was too scared to take them for almost a year and half. Until I finally convinced myself what could be worse the side effects or continuing like this forever: it's been a year since I started them and yeah I've gained weight and got some weird hormonal acne whatever. I've had to process a lot of past trauma and still am and it's still a battle. But I finally feel like I am starting to live again. I guess I am posting this to mention my story and let you all know that I am here for absolutely anyone that needs someone to talk to. by @frankieryott

Seven years ago today I landed in Toronto after travelling around Europe by myself for 11 months. I knew very quickly that I wasn't ready for the adventure to stop. I worked really hard for two and a half years to secure permanent residency to continue the adventure and then two months after receiving my PR card covid hit. Fast forward another two and a half years of weird times and no travel finally I was eligible to apply for citizenship and secure a time limitless adventure here in the northern hemisphere. Yesterday after seven years.. I got my Canadian passport in the mail.

I have hiked up mountains, swam in lakes, made beautiful friends and lovers, camped in secluded nature and made thousands of cocktails. I have laughed, cried, stressed, lost family, lost friends, lost myself and pulled myself out of deep depression and anxiety.
But I did not give up.
To me the adventure now really begins.
