Very happy to be part of the 20th anniversary issue of @zeit_campus 🤍
alongside four other amazing artists.

For the occasion and to celebrate the 20th anniversary, I draped a linen blouse combining drawing and embroidery. Bringing one of my drawings directly onto the garment. 🌸
The flowers I draw and embroidered on the linen blouse are coneflowers and thistles which are symbols of growth, resilience and protection.

New work for @zeit_campus ✨

Grateful and excited to be featured in the new @zeit_campus magazine alongside other creatives, as part of their 20th anniversary issue. 💐
I was invited to design a merch piece celebrating 20 years of Germany’s most popular student magazine and created a hand-crafted jacket inspired by the uniforms of London’s Pearly Kings and Queens. The final garment features a festive artwork incorporating the @zeit iconic crest, crafted from more than 500 hand-stitched mother-of-pearl buttons, alongside screen-printed elements that play with the reflection of light making the anniversary literally shine.✨✨✨

What would a world without smartphones look like?

We asked brilliant Julian-Lee Harather to illustrate our @zeit_campus cover story on the growing number of people swapping smartphones for dumbphones. His take? A beach holiday with Wonder Girls, paper maps, wired devices, an anti-smartphone angel, and Sudoku.

We asked couples how they make their long-distance relationships work. Please meet Mareike, 27, who is studying sustainability research in Würzburg and Jakob, 30, who is pursuing his master's degree at the University of Potsdam. Last year, Jakob spent months researching ants in Costa Rica. Since then, they’ve realized, “Not even half the world between us can rattle us.”

Home Sweet Home!

The housing crisis is real, and it’s making it harder than ever for students to find affordable accommodation. We teamed up with the brilliant artist @_themaiy_ to tell this story. Maya, who searched for an apartment in London for nearly two years, created life-sized cardboard rooms that capture the feeling of being stuck—caught between moving from one sublet to the next, settling for the bare minimum, and hoping to have her own playroom one day.

At Kyoto University — one of Japan’s most conservative universities — there’s a special rule: at graduation, you can wear whatever you want.
This has grown into a unique tradition: graduates don’t just wear formal attire — they show up as crabs, black holes, or even walls of yen, with costumes that often carry political or social commentary.
