Where Women Walk Among Gods 🌞✨

Day 2 in Mexico City took us to the sacred grounds of Teotihuacán, and what an experience!

To stand among these magnificent structures, in a city shaped by ancient knowledge, celestial observation, and spiritual devotion, was something I will never forget.

There was something so holy about being there. Something that reminded me of the divine feminine, the power of women, and the beauty of being connected to something greater than ourselves.

And to experience it alongside my best friends? Even sweeter. Three women exploring the world, collecting memories, expanding our perspectives, and simply enjoying the privilege of being alive.

I want to remember these moments. The places I’ve stood. The things I’ve felt. The women I’ve shared them with. The ways the world continues to reveal itself to me.

This is why I’m archiving my life. Not for an audience, but as evidence of a life I’m deeply in love with.

Another experience collected. Another piece of myself discovered. 🧿

Family Matters! 💚🐊

VHS Class of ‘06 is celebrating 20 years all year long. Meet some of our classmates! Some of you might’ve been introduced to us through our #yearbookchallenge video back in May. ☺️

From our tailgate to walking the halls of VHS again, and every special moment in between, it was SO beautiful to come together this past weekend in Vicksburg. We’re looking forward to many more moments like this.

There was something so special about seeing everybody again, laughing, reminiscing, catching up, and celebrating just how far life has carried us. Twenty years of growing, changing, living, loving, learning… and somehow we came back looking better than ever! 😂🙌🏾

This weekend was full of good energy, old memories, new stories, and plenty of “you haven’t changed a bit!” 😂 I’m genuinely happy we made the time to come together and celebrate this milestone.

Being a professor will humble you REAL quick. 😮‍💨

One of the hardest things I’ve encountered is having college students who genuinely struggle with reading, comprehension, and understanding basic concepts, which makes teaching the complex ones even harder.

And yes, it can be frustrating. Sometimes I want to fuss like somebody’s mama: “Now you KNOW better than this!” 😂 But then I have to remind myself… I am your PROFESSOR. I am not your parent.

Underneath the frustration, though, it honestly makes me sad. Because somewhere along the way, some students made it all the way to college without developing skills they absolutely need to succeed here. Now professors are trying to teach the subject matter while also helping fill educational gaps that should have been addressed years ago.

There’s a bigger conversation to be had about education, accountability, preparation, and what “college ready” actually means.

Because I can teach you art. I can teach you technique. I can challenge you to think critically. But I cannot want your education more than you do.

POV: you wanna be a bad bitch with long nails AND a potter… but the clay said pick a struggle 😂💅🏾🏺

Short nails aren’t just a preference when you’re throwing. They give me better control, cleaner pulls, smoother walls, and keep me from accidentally carving my fingerprints AND a full set into the clay. 😭

Sometimes the manicure has to make a sacrifice for the masterpiece.

Potter problems: short nails, long creative vision. ✨
