✨ SHY BAIRNS GET NOWT – NEWCASTLE ✨

What an unforgettable experience!

From coaching aspiring models behind the scenes to stepping onto the runway myself, this video captures a day filled with confidence, creativity, growth, and unforgettable moments.

As Catwalk Instructor, there is nothing more rewarding than watching people discover their confidence and own their space on the runway. Seeing every model evolve from rehearsal to showtime was truly inspiring. Then having the opportunity to join them on the runway made the experience even more special.

A huge thank you to the organisers of Shy Bairns Get Nowt for creating such an empowering platform, and special appreciation to the incredibly talented designer @jerryjclothing, whose stunning designs brought elegance, character, and style to the runway.

To every model, photographer, videographer, makeup artist, stylist, backstage team, and every person who played a role in making this event a success—thank you. Your passion and dedication transformed a fashion show into a celebration of talent, confidence, and community.

Newcastle showed up, the models showed out, and the runway came alive. ❤️

Here’s to growth, boldness, and remembering that sometimes the opportunities we seek are waiting for us to take that first step.

After all… Shy Bairns Get Nowt. ✨

Come closer to the music. 🎶

I’ve opened something new — THE CHYKE CAVE.

A space where I can bring you closer to the journey. New music first, unreleased music, behind-the-scenes moments, live show announcements and some of the stories I don’t always share on social media.

No noise. No algorithm. Just music, moments and things worth sharing.

If you’ve ever danced at one of my shows, streamed or shared one of my songs, sent me a message, or simply connected with the music — come inside.

October is calling.
Twelve nights, twelve rooms, one heartbeat –
from the North East to the Yorkshire coast, across to Scotland and down to Wales.
Highlife in the air. Reggae in the bones. Love at the centre of it all.
Soundtrack: my new single "Without Love" – out 10 November 🤍

Tell me which night you're coming to, and bring someone who needs to dance 👇

There’s more to the journey than what you see online.

🎧 That’s a first listen of ‘Without Love’, my new single. It’s not out until 10 November, and the Cave hears it first.

THE CHYKE CAVE is open. New music first, unreleased moments, behind the scenes and the stories I keep for the people closest to the music.

I’ve been lucky enough to hear a good amount of Fred Chyke’s music now, and he really is an incredibly talented human being.

His songwriting has so much heart behind it. From ‘Ije Love’, where he wove recordings of his grandmother singing into the music, to his forthcoming single ‘Without Love’, there’s a real sense of where he comes from, what matters to him and what he wants his music to say.

And this one really does have something to say.

‘Without Love’ is warm, infectious and rooted in reggae, but its message reaches much further. In a world that feels increasingly divided, it asks us to remember something remarkably simple; what happens if we choose love instead?

Quite frankly, I think the world could do with a lot more of that right now. 💜

My review is now live on Echoes In Ink ahead of the track’s release on 10th November, and includes a pre-save code.
