My mantra (as many of you have heard me say) is customer service. My mindset is that what I do, I am doing for you…not for myself or my own edification.

Therefore I go out of my way to accommodate every request, but I do value my work/life balance. It’s why I only tattoo 6 hours each day.

Please keep in mind that I am not a vending machine, a computer, or a dancing monkey at the circus. I am highly organized though and I hold myself to a high standard of meeting expectations and deadlines. The deadline is your scheduled appointment time. I will never miss that deadline.

Participated in the Fort Wayne Sport Club’s 6v6 tournament last night with a few old friends and several new ones!

I’ve been playing a lot lately (more so than the last several years) and it hasn’t been going great.

I think since my knee injuries in 2020 I’ve been afraid to go too hard or to challenge aggressively for fear of getting hurt again…and I do anyway.

I keep playing because I love it, but I often feel like I’m letting the people around me down.

Just know if we’re playing together, I’m trying hard while attempting to avoid injury. Getting hurt in my 50’s isn’t the same as it was a couple of decades ago.

I’m playing for the love of the game these days, not for the win (but it is nice to win!)

30 years the people of the New Haven Police Department thought it was a good idea to give me a gun and a badge. Looking back I’m not sure that 21-year-old kid was ready for it, but I spent the next 21 years doing it to the best of my ability and it seems to have worked out okay. I almost don’t even recognize myself in that photo though!

Some good people took me under their wing in those early days and really got me squared away. Mike Sweet, Jason Bohde, Scott Kummer, and Carolyn Pesetski made sure I stayed in my lane and kept me out of trouble. Still grateful to them all of these years later taken in New Haven Police Dept by @freddyray
