I review photo books and exhibitions. E.g. “Solo” by @joernvanhoefen in today’s #frankfurterallgemeinezeitung After the death of his mother and selling her house in Dinslaken photographer Jörn Vanhöfen decided to walk home to Berlin. It took him 56 days for the a route of nearly 700 kilometers. The photos he took on the way are put together in a book “Solo”. It is published in an edition of ten and sells for 750 Euros at @kuckeiandkuckei #ontheroad #ireviewphotography #joernvanhoefen #freddylanger by @freddysstreets

I review photo books and exhibitions. E. g. “The Way Back” by Bruce Davidson in today’s #frankfurterallgemeinezeitung At the age of 92 Davidson looked through his archive for unpublished photographs which are just as good as his iconic work. It’s a beautiful book full of surprises but also a come together with lots of people from his famous journalistic stories. #steidl published the book. #photoreview #photobookcollectors #freddylanger by @freddysstreets

I review photo books and exhibitons. E.g. #fredstein at @noirblanche34 in tommorow’s #frankfurterallgemeinezeitung Stein, who meant to become a lawyer in Dresden during the thirties had to leave the country after the Nazis took over the government. With a second hand #Leica he made a living as a photographer in Paris first, in New York later. He became famous for his portraits of the artists and scientists and other celebrities of his time. But I love his streetphotography. #ilovephotobooks #freddylanger taken in Duesseldorf by @freddysstreets

I review photo books and exhibitions. E.g. “Failed Postcards from Neapoli” by Kourtney Roy in tomorrow’s #frankfurterallgemeinezeitung A beautiful pack of surreal, crazy and erotic self portraits disguised as postcards and a marvelous hommage to Italys cinema from Antonioni to Fellini. The work was possible through a cooperation with Spot Home Gallery. Which is exhibiting the photographs right now. The book is published by Andre Frere Editions #kourtneyroy #spothomegallery #andrefrereeditions #freddylanger taken in Neapel, Italien by @freddysstreets

I review photo books and exhibitions. E.g. @wilhelmschuermann WILHELM SCHÜRMANN‘s „Nachbarn - Neighbors“ at @leopold_hoesch_museum in Düren - Not too far from Cologne - in tomorrow’s #frankfurterallgemeinezeitung . The show combines early work from fifty years ago with photographs from today. And it gives an overview of misguided German architecture both in villages as in the City of Berlin. This exhibition is definitely worth a detour. @wilhelm__schuermann__ #wilhelmschuermann #wilhelmschürmann #freddylanger #ilovephotobooks taken in Leopold-Hoesch-Museum & Papiermuseum Düren by @freddysstreets

Walking into a dream like scenery (Part 2): on my way from #garedelest to my hotel during #parisphoto not a single person was sitting outside the cafes. Even though it was fairly warm. As if the furniture needed time to relax. I felt like #tomcruise in #vanillasky. And wrote a little story about it for #frankfurterallgemeinezeitung #emptychairs #noguests #allbymyself #waittobeseated #cafe #pariscafes #freddylanger #parisphoto2025 #streetphotography taken in Paris, France by @freddysstreets
