This has been brewing for a while now and here we are. I recorded this mix about a year ago in anticipation of working with @skina.amsterdam on creating a sound experience at their (my favourite) café. Together with the legends at @kikuno_nl who kitted out the space with warm sound, we made this a reality.
The result is @rooomradio which is simply put a space to listen to music together. Sometimes we’ll be selling records too.
For now this will be happening most Sundays from 12-16, so go follow @rooomradio, check the schedule and swing by <3 taken in Skina Amsterdam by @freddyvm

Bring back the chill out room 💚

During ADE, we’re opening “A Room Elsewhere” at Het Salon, together with Room Radio and Elsewhere Project.

Inspired by the chill-out rooms of the ’90s, a space to slow down, discover art, connect with others and drift into slower sounds before returning to the dancefloor.

Location: Het Salon / ToB Garage
When: Friday & Saturday during ADE
Entrance: Free, with donations welcome to support the artists who bring this space to life.

Come slow down, explore and travel somewhere else.

See you next week :)

Winter is coming, but not just yet 🌴

We are extending our Tobana season with a special session this Friday.

Inviting back 2 jocks that have graced our decks with greatness and amazeness. That’s not a word, but inside our own house there is room to wing it (and swing it).

Food will be arranged with love by The Jamaican Eight. Our resident caterer that set the highest standard in food with flavour and vibes.

To keep things extra cozy, there will be board and card games to enjoy. Feel free to bring your own favourites along.

Tobana continues..
Step into the Westpoort oasis and join the dance ♥️

After reaching new heights on our last Tobana, it is with immense pleasure to announcing our return this coming Friday.

This time, Food supplied by The Jamaican Eight and a serious line up of spinners that potentially could rock our world.

Friday hangs and spins, where anything can happen. And that’s the beauty of it.

Loose yourself, so you can find yourself 🌴✨🌞

Last but not least, on warm up duties this Sunday at @radioradio.radio our own @freddyvm aka Cactus Hand.
Freddy is former Pintai co-head and one half of Frico. He’s been throwing parties pretty much ever since he’s moved to Amsterdam over 4 years ago, gradually adding his own flavour to the local scene. His sound is wide and as far as the cliché allows ‘hard to categorize’ but ranges from the groovy corners of minimal, across house, all the way towards the more stripped back of the progressive side of things.

This Saturday, September 20th, we’re excited to be back at @phono.lake. We want to take the chance to introduce our guest to you a little more.

@ck__sounds is a producer, DJ and head of Safe distribution. We’ve been following him for a while now and feel ourselves continuously pulled in by his selections, whenever we hear him play. Both as a DJ and a producer, he manages to hold a balance of fun, bouncy with more melody driven, emotional tracks.

But words can only describe music, so we implore you to check out his latest mix ‘Current Material’ that just came out 2 days ago, consisting of 90% unreleased tracks. Also available as a cassette on Safe.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there, this will be a special one.
Links to tickets and ‘Current Material’ in bio.

From deep, rolling, jazzy house, to basslines that put a smile on your face, and top top TOP Italo techno-pop to top it off.

In our next Doka Digs, @robzilla3000 and @frico.fresco [@nico_borgio & @freddyvm] take us by the hand to let our ears meet some of the music they have in mind for Friday. Have a taste. by @freddyvm

Look at these beauties! @kikuno_nl recently installed their handmade speakers at Skina and the place hasn’t sounded the same since. They’re a joy to look at, but they sound even better. 👌🏽
