Best last minute decision ever!

Throwback to last week at the OFFF Festival in Barcelona, where I was part of their first ever mapping experience: The Screen. Celebrating OFFF’s 25th anniversary, creators from around the world were invited to submit motion artworks for display on the façade of the Disseny Hub.

Time was tight, but I carved out two days to put something together. As an extra challenge I limited myself to vanilla After Effects. No plugins, just basic shape layers and keyframes.

The result: The Watcher. A 15 second loop. A visual exploration of inspiration turning into action, unfolding rhythmically within the body of a creative.

As a teacher at @devinekask I love to share knowledge. I also like to dive into other people’s project files. While this project file is nothing fancy, I’ve shared it if you’re interested in breaking it down: link in bio.
Always happy to dive into process and technique with fellow designers.

Had an incredible show a couple of nights ago, performing for the always brilliant @driesvanhaute at @cultuurkapel_de_schaduw
It’s always such a joy and honor to share the stage with you, my friend.

Huge shoutout to @romaniemusic , who opened with a stunning acoustic set. Her storytelling through just her voice and guitar was so powerful and beautiful. Can’t wait to hear her next album!
