I got invited to @10downingstreet 🤯🔟

I’m not one to care too much about people “giving me my flowers” but this is HUGE 😅.

Standing Firm in Power and Pride to me means staying true to yourself & I have unapologetically done that on my journey.

Being recognised as a leader in my industry at the black history month reception is a powerful reminder of what can happen when you are honest, hard working & patient.

This is bigger than politics.

I moved to the UK as a teenager, landed in Brixton. Family of 4, we lived in 1 bedroom of a small 3 bedroom flat (different families in the other bedrooms). Could hardly speak English. Got robbed twice when in the first few months. Started doing things I wasn’t supposed to. Found athletics. Lost athletics. Found speaking. Found myself.

Look at me now…

No matter what happens on this process, I have ALREADY WON. I have already beat the odds. I am already incredibly proud of myself.
