This is the story about how I met The World Famous Tony Williams by coincidence in Cody, Wyoming.
My life is so random. I just returned from a 3 weeks roadtrip in the Midwest of the states. One day, me and my girlfriend went to visit Yellowstone. We drove around for 10 hours, doing all the tourist stuff, watching bisons and geysers and all that. After that, we returned to Cody, Wyoming to get some thai food and a 6-pack of beers. We were then headed to our hotel, totally smashed from a long day of driving and all smelly from hiking. We were almost at our hotel, when we passed by a window and I saw a person in there, who I recognised. I told my girl: “I know that guy”. She was like: “Come on, you’re tired, you don’t know anyone in Cody”. And then I instictively knocked on the window and yelled: “I know you! We did a track together years ago”. The person, who turned out to be The World Famous Tony Williams, opened the door and gave me a big hug and welcomed us in with our smelly clothes and thai food (We previously recorded a track together in 2011-ish called “Fly away Fred”, but we’ve never met in person and haven’t communicated since). We couldn’t believe the coincidence and how small this world really is sometimes. Guess the man upstairs wanted us to meet up! We ended up spending the entire evening together with Tony and his wife and friends, drinking beer, discussing world events, listening to unreleased new singles and just having a plain ol’ good time. We also discovered a fantastic song by Jim Croce (unknown to me and my girl at that time) called “Bad, bad Leroy Brown” (which became our roadtrip anthem after that). What an amazing day, that we’ll surely remember for a long time. Thanks Tony, for being such a cool dude! taken in The Irma Hotel by @frednukes

Taking a day off today to clear the brain 🧠 and recharge from all this SoMe madness the past week. I’ve been very focused and motivated in spreading the word about my new single! So I promised my girl that I would relax a bit today and stay off the phone (as if 🤣) - well at least as much as I possibly can.
