Kinosaki Onsen | A town steeped in 1,300 years of culture and tradition. Went up the mountain first thing to visit the temple to ask for blessings before bathing in the healing waters. Highly recommend visiting this beautiful town.

Funny how memory works. TBH, I forgot the names of half the places we visited but I do remember the smell of charcoal and roasted yakitori on the grill, the way the sunlight hits a particular part of the temple and the sound of walking in and out of Lawson. Japan, you are something different.

36 hours in Osaka 🇯🇵

Our time in the city was short but we made sure to make the most of it. Payed a visit to Namba Yasaka Jinja, touched the stone walls of Osaka Castle, and ate our way through Dotonbori. We made new friends, put miles on our feet and discovered a new part of the world together.

We made more than a 1,000 friends while we visited Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple in Kyoto. And we miss every single one of them.

Kato Restaurant | 2.7.2026

My first visit to Kato 2.0. We’ve been fans of Kato since their OG Sawtelle strip mall origins and now to see them all grown up, polished but still holding onto their roots and story was quite the experience. Technique that will wow any gourmand yet flavors and textures that will fill the humble heart with joy. Chef @jonyao gives you an elevated version of dishes and flavors he grew up with all the while paying homage to his roots and traditions. Then there is the one and only @dogsaget with her playful energy making everyone feel welcomed and at home. Truly one of the best! 🫶🏽 Be sure to partake in the beverage offerings by @ryan____bailey and his team. Whether it be the wine pairing, N/A pairing, crafty cocktails or choosing a special bottle from his well-curated & extensive list he has put together, you are sure in for a treat. My hats off to the entire team! My sincere gratitude for making Jessie’s bday yet another memorable celebration at Kato. You deserve all the success!

Tucked away near Sonoma Plaza in a beautifully restored 1880’s Victorian home is @enclossonoma. Led by Chef @brian.limoges, this charming restaurant blends his New England heritage with the best of California’s seasonal local produce from affiliated Stone Edge Farm. The tasting menu expertly combines global flavors and refined techniques with a nostalgic touch. All the while, diners will find the staff effortlessly charming, making the experience all the more magical.

It was such a joy to sit back and indulge in every dish/wine pairing placed in front of us and a joy to engage with every staff member who came to our table. You then begin to realize what makes a place special and stand out more than others. Truly a magical experience and I look forward to seeing them thrive even more.
