Time to wind up the top:

8. 🇫🇷- This was my winner for quite a while, but better songs came along. I was looking forward to the revamp but I guess that won’t happen now?
7. 🇺🇦- I wish more countries sent ethnic sounding songs. When it won the NF, I hated it, but now it’s one of my favourites.
6. 🇮🇸- This could have won. It honestly could have won. I was happy with any of the Icelandic NF’s songs, and Think About Things could have brought Eurovision to Iceland for the first time.
5. 🇮🇹- This has my favourite lyrics of the year. For some reason it didn’t stand out when I played the San Remo songs, but now it’s one of my favourite songs of the year.
4. 🇳🇱- The live is even better than the studio version. On the ESC stage it probably wouldn’t have done that good, but it’s one of the strongest songs in the bunch.
3. 🇧🇪- I might would drop this a couple places, but the song has a mysterious vibe about it that I can’t quite place. Like the Netherlands, it would have probably gotten drowned in a sea of songs, but it’s one of the best.
2. 🇷🇴- I LOVE THIS SONG. I don’t know what to say about it other than the fact it ties in with Bulgaria for my first place and I love both songs the same.
1. 🇧🇬- WINNER. This and Romania is the kind of stuff I look for in music. Too bad they can’t be sung in 2021 🙃

Part 3 of my 2020 top:

18. 🇮🇱- This has really grown on me and it would have been one of the best live performances this year.
17. 🇵🇱- This has grown on me, too. It probably wouldn’t have qualified but the staging could have been really good.
16. 🇦🇲- Annoying, but it’s actually good. It sounds like some American rap song, I’d probably think it was if I heard it outside of Eurovision.
15. 🇬🇷- I could have probably dropped this a few places. The song itself is okay but the music video does NOT fit at all and it’s too cliche.
14. 🇩🇪- It’s good, I don’t know how it would’ve done live, though.
13. 🇲🇹- I was hoping for a better song than this, it doesn’t really show off Destiny’s voice like Not My Soul.
12.🇨🇭- This could definitely drop places alongside Greece and Malta. After one or two listens it gets boring but Gjon’s a good singer.
11. 🇧🇾- Here we come to a definite top. The live performances is kind of weird- Sweden 2009 reminiscent with the camera staring- but it’s strangely good.
10. 🇦🇱- The Albanian was better. That’s all I have to say.
9. 🇵🇹- I like Portugal’s songs from 2015 to now. This is a close third behind 2019 and 2015. I wish Elisa was going next Eurovision 🙃

Time for the continuation of my top:

28. 🇪🇸- I haven’t heard it all the way through, but the snippets are repetitive.
27. 🇸🇮- In all honesty, this is just boring.
26. 🇫🇮- Boring 🙃
25. 🇩🇰- See 28.
24. 🇲🇰- This was one of the newer songs, it’s okay but kind of common amongst other songs.
23. 🇸🇲- It’s okay, the other song was better, though.
22. 🇬🇧- This is good, but it sounds wound up or outdated, like hearing a song from today through radio speakers in the 1960s or 1970s.
21. 🇨🇾- See 24.
20. 🇦🇿- It’s unique but nothing overly special.
19. 🇪🇪- This is pretty but a little boring compared to past Estonian entries.

Well I guess now’s just as good a time as any to post my ESC top, I wish this year was going on so bad... 41. 🇱🇻- How is this a song? Samanta can sing but this particular song is just a train wreck.
40. 🇨🇿- This would be okay in some settings but it’s not something you’d expect in ESC and much less from the Czech Republic.
39.🇦🇺- No. Australia tries, but just no. Good singer, though.
38.🇬🇪- See 41.
37. 🇳🇴- The song is bland, good singer.
36. 🇸🇪- The song is okay, but it’s bland just like all of Sweden’s entries since 2013. Also it really wasn’t fair for them to win Melfest since they went last year with JL.
35. 🇷🇺- What. Is. This?
34. 🇷🇸- This sounds like something you’d hear in the 1990s, kind of outdated.
33. 🇭🇷- Outdated.
32. 🇲🇩- I think I like this one more than 32/41, I just haven’t listened to it all the way through enough to judge it properly.
31. 🇱🇹- Something about this just irks me, I don’t know if it’s the songs or the movements, but it’s ugh.
30. 🇮🇪- Not really outdated, but Ireland could have chosen a better song.
29. 🇦🇹- The song is okay but it gets boring after one or two listens. •

This is the definitive #throwbackthursday... With all the events of this coming spring and summer, Jake’s wedding, the postponed Maffay tour in Germany, will there really be a new Linnet album out this fall?
