Baku Jazz Festival, @bakujazzfest , I was 24 when I first came here as a volunteer. I literally grew up with you. We’ve been together for nine years already. It’s been an incredible journey and a truly beautiful time that will stay in my memory forever. Huge thanks and gratitude to everyone who has been part of it. God bless. ❤️ by @freedainlove

Freeda in da jazzy house! Sharing a video recap from my DJ set at the opening of the international Baku Jazz Festival, which took place on October 3rd. 🖤

It was such an exciting and emotional moment for me, and I’m really proud that after working with the festival for nine years, I had the honor of opening it this year.

And we’re not done yet — the festival continues on October 10–11! Come join us for the open-air concerts. See you there! 🎷✨ by @freedainlove

XXI Baku Jazz Festival. Day 8. Freeda by @freedainlove

I was 23 when I first joined Baku Jazz Festival. Back then, I was a music selector, making jazz compilations for my friends and recording them onto USB flash drives and CDs. I was also working as a journalist and writing about music.

Over the years, I worked with artists, travelled to international festivals, conducted interviews, wrote reports, and photographed musicians myself. I experienced the festival world from different perspectives as a correspondent, a journalist, a photographer, and, of course, a passionate music lover.

It has been a long journey filled with experiences, learning, hard work and beautiful memories.

And yesterday I had the pleasure of playing my own jazz selection at the festival’s closing and being filmed for television. What a beautiful feeling to look back and realise how much has changed!

From writing about music and sharing my selections with friends to standing behind the decks and sharing my own musical vision with an audience this journey means a lot to me.

And we’re just getting started. We continue! 🎷❤️ by @freedainlove

Today I had the pleasure of performing at the Baku Jazz Festival, right in the heart of my city — the beautiful Old City of Baku. ✨

It’s an honour to share my music in such a special place, surrounded by the history, soul, and unique energy of this city.

I’m genuinely happy that my music has found a space where it truly belongs — a place where it can be heard, felt, and expressed with complete freedom and sincerity.

Music has its own way of finding the right places, the right people, and the right moments. And today, I felt that connection deeply. ❤️‍🔥

Thank you, Baku Jazz Festival, for giving my music a place to live and breathe.

With love and gratitude,

We present our report from the final day of the Baku Jazz Festival! 🎷✨

We’re proud to have created a festival that left so many beautiful memories and positive emotions in people’s hearts.

Thank you for being part of this journey. See you next year! 🖤 by @freedainlove

When I’m on stage, I enter a kind of trip: a state where music and emotions become one. Not every photographer can truly see and capture this creative process.

I was living it here and now, and the photographer captured it here and now, too. ✨

I’m so happy these moments were preserved and I want to share them with you. 🖤 by @freedainlove

Such a beautiful moment! 🖤 Playing this set and being introduced as a talented artist hit differently, because becoming an artist has always been my dream. Thank you, @iamorkhanray for making this moment even more special! ✨ by @freedainlove

On October 10, while I was performing outdoors in Baku’s Old City, a foreign tourist was taking photographs of me. When I came off the stage, I told him that I had a feeling he had captured an amazing shot. He said he had taken my videographer’s email address and would send her all the photos.

Today, he finally sent them, and they are absolutely stunning. ✨

I don’t know who you are, but thank you so much for capturing these beautiful moments. ❤️ by @freedainlove

A little piece of my world 🌌

Spoken word, sonic poetry, philosophy, freedom, love, and music all coming together in my own unique style.

I was so happy to share this completely new format of my artistic expression with you. We’re going to keep creating, exploring and bringing these vibes to life.

My next performance will be announced soon. Stay tuned! ✨

Thank you for being part of this journey. ❤️ by @freedainlove

There are photographers who bring out your femininity, and I find that incredibly fascinating. I’ve always loved being around photographers like that, observing myself in different ways and discovering new sides of who I am.

And then there are photographers who bring out my masculine side.

And all of it is me.

Every side, every expression, every version of myself.

I don’t have to choose one over the other to be authentic.

And all of it is beautiful. 🖤 photo: @yagubovphotography by @freedainlove
