2025 was a great year!! 🥂🫶🏾💚✨
.
. Even if I end it sick 🤧 lol I know I know, I barely posted but ya know what ?? I didn’t feel like it, and that’s OK 🫶🏾 lol 2025 is the year that I slowed down, stepped back and Reset.💚 I am a finite resource with limited energy and had to act like it.🫣
.
The year of 2025 I held a lot more just for me. ✨and I hope in 2026 you do what you want to do. And let someone else deal with the rest. 😉 #2025recap by @freedomchild85

Homegrown tomatoes & Bootleg Panera 😋
.
. Here’s a Garden Vlog 🤭 I can’t keep cashing out on Turkey Bacon Bravos because “we got Panera at home” 😂🤣😂 My friends and fam have been asking “how the garden is doing 🤔” - let’s just say, I’m eating 🍽️ lol I’ll have to give yall an update 👩🏾‍🌾
.
. Life has been hectic so content has slowed down 😅 but the garden is doing good 🫶🏾💚. I won’t say GREAT because I’ve had some struggles and I’ll share those too. Boy it’s been a crazy gardening season to say the least. IM EATING THOUGH ☺️. Amen to that. 🙌🏾🍅🫑🍓🌶️🍉

Scripted? Yes. True? Also yes. 🤭💚
Just getting the creative juices flowing again. It’s been a minute!! Lol Sooo Introducing my very first flower patch 🙌🏾🌸☀️ I’ve been watering this thing since March! 👏🏾 I had to do my big one for the pollinators 🐝🦋🐞🐜 And as much as I looove flowers - might as well grow some 🤷🏾‍♀️🙌🏾👏🏾
.
.
There’s 2 flower patches but the other one is under the tree and just doesn’t get enough sunlight to fully BLOOM. 🌷Its giving life lessons. Lol @dontblockyourbloom 🪷A tree sprouted out of nowhere. It’s a cute tree and I love it but as it’s grown it’s covering my garden and slowing down my veggies. 😔Now it’s covering my flower patch. I knew it needed to go 2 years ago but now I’m attached 🥹 This year HAS to be its last. I’ll replant a smaller tree that I can enjoy that #dontblockmybloom ☺️💚🫶🏾 by @freedomchild85

The #plantcommunity on IG has brought me so many blessings. A prime example is my connection and friendship with Tiffany @freedomchild85. 🥰 After meeting each other at the @BlackBoxBotanical #plantlovers #meetup in May 2022, we instantly clicked. And I immediately saw what an incredible force Tiffany is in the DMV plant, gardening, and volunteering community. Tiffany is a pure, loving spirit with a heart of gold, who loves nothing more than bonding and connecting with others.

I embraced Tiffany and her friendship from the beginning.

So when she thoughtfully recommended me as a #terrariumworkshop #instructor for an opportunity that she encountered a year later, I was so incredibly grateful. And touched.

I also have tremendous blessings as part of the #makerscommunity in the DMV as well. Alina, owner of @madewithlove.dc offers a wonderful space for teaching and participating in #creativeclasses in DC. And Alina has routinely offered me opportunities for leading #craftworkshops as a collaborative partner.

I was thrilled that I got the chance to introduce these two ladies during my March 29 #terrariumclass. And touched show Tiffany first hand how her generous spirit helped to spark my personal journey, along with the creative journeys of others that attend my classes.

Tiffany has been such a humongous blessing to me on so many levels since that beautiful day in May 2022. From organizing and hosting premier events for DMV plant lovers (check out the #plantsandpeoplepalooza from her posts). To helping me in my time in of need while recovering from breast cancer surgery in late 2023. Tiffany is a true blue friend. And an incredible woman who is here for everyone in our strong and mighty DMV village. 🥰😘❤️❤️❤️ by @freedomchild85
