My 1st entry for the @surftaco_official Jersey Big Wave Challenge 🌊 9/25/26 in Ocean City, NJ Photographer: @nicoledeodatowiest 📸 Followed the storm up from the dunes of the Outer Banks, after a great trip for @surfesa Easterns and ended up scratching in to this 💣 🌊 a few days later... 1st lap out in da pool 🏊‍♂️ I took out my @609kcs 🪵 but once I got out, I realized it was too sketchy for a longboard. 2nd lap I switched to my 6’6 step-up, caught a wave, and ended up next to the jetty on the inside.. decided to paddle across it while there was still water over it, and before the current took me for a ride over it 😳 3rd lap I caught another big one and made it in. 4th lap I paddled a lil further outside, and made sure I stayed in position against the current. It’s a cool feeling sitting a good 30 yards outside of the rest of the lineup, and chipping into waves that people are scrambling to paddle over. Stoked to catch a big one right here in Jersey, and even more stoked that my friend Nicole happened to be there to capture the moment! 📷 Her love for the ocean, and dedication to surf photography is inspiring! 🙌 Ended the day hanging with da homies and catching an epic 🌈 and sunset 🌞 #jerseybigwavechallenge #rideyourwave by @freedomfiends

California Gold is a video series documenting a healing journey from NJ to Cali and back. This article is from 59 years ago. Almost 6 decades. How many more generations will support this cruel and unnecessary tradition that was forced upon us? From the milk man of the 1940s through the 1970s, to the “Milk Does A Body Good” campaign in the early 70s, before moving to more emotional or humorous themes later on in the decade, to the “Got Milk?” mustache 🥸 propaganda that they used on my generation. Billions of dollars spent over almost a century have been used to try and convince us that consuming the milk from another mammal 🐮 is healthy and natural, when that is the furthest thing from the truth. HUMANe alternatives were being discussed 60 years ago, and now they’re widely available in almost every store. Now they put whey protein (a waste product from dairy production) in absolutely everything, in an attempt to CONvince people that they need protein, which just turns in to excess FAT. It’s cruel to separate a non-human woman from her baby, just to take her milk that was meant for HER baby 😢🐮🐄 Especially when healthier cruelty-free options exist! 🌱🥛#dairyisscary #notyourmomnotyourmilk #milkplantshugcows #veganfortheanimals #govegan by @freedomfiends
