Mental health is an essential part of our overall wellbeing 🧡

On October 10th, World Mental Health Day, we teamed up with @epapsy_gr at Φεστιβάλ Ψ: «Η Ψυχική Υγεία Έχει Φωνή» (Mental Health Has a Voice), sharing information about our work and the services we provide.

More than 1 billion people globally live with a mental health condition. Talking openly about mental health is an important step towards breaking the stigma, raising awareness, and creating a world where everyone feels safe to seek help.

Whether it’s reaching out to a professional, a support service, or someone you trust, no one should have to face mental health challenges alone. 🫂

A big thank you to EPAPSY for inviting us to participate and sharing their kiosk with us in support of such an important cause! 💙 taken in Athens, Greece by @freemovement__sb

Since day one, one of our main goals has been to get more girls on board. 🛹

But how do we do that? By creating a space where everyone feels safe, welcome and included, whether they come to skate, learn, or simply hang out.

Last year, girls made up 49% of our session participants. We’re so proud of that, but we’re not stopping here!

We’ll keep creating space, building confidence and showing the next generation that they can achieve anything they set their minds to!

Support us in getting more girls on board by donating today through the link in our bio ❣️ by @freemovement__sb

Throwback to when we held a couple of Easter sessions at @asylum.diy a few years back! 🐣🛹

It was such a great opportunity for the kids who usually skate our sessions in the city and DIY ramps to get a feel for what it’s like skating a proper skatepark.

Who knows… maybe one day we’ll have our own park too? 👀🤞🌌 taken in Athens, Greece by @freemovement__sb

Skateboarding = creating friendships, and you can’t change our mind on that! 🫂

Looking back at all the friendships that formed this year during our sessions, between our participants, and our team too(!) and it’s so wholesome to see ☺️ by @freemovement__sb

Skateboarding at 9am?!
Oh yes! People go for runs at 6am, so skating at 9 isn’t so crazy!

With this heat, skateboarding in the earlier hours is much more enjoyable 🌞 thanks to @eurohoops_greece, we got to run 3 big sessions in one single morning at their summer youth camp, introducing skateboarding to a lot of youth! by @freemovement__sb
