FR5 is about more than giving someone a bike. It’s about giving them the freedom and independence that comes with mobility. 💙
Every month, Freeride provides bicycles and tricycles to people of all ages across all 50 states who truly need them.
🚲 Nominations open on the 3rd of every month
📩 Recipients are notified on the 5th
Whether it means getting to work, making it to school, reconnecting with their community, or simply having the freedom to get where they need to go, a bike can change someone’s everyday life.

This month’s FR5 reminded us why this community means so much. 💛

We were incredibly touched by the nominations that came in during the 24 hours. Every story, every message, every person nominated by someone who cares about them. That’s what FR5 is really about.

To our Angel Riders: thank you for showing up for your communities, your friends, your neighbors, and even strangers. You are truly the backbone of Freeride. Because of you, we’re able to reach people who truly need mobility.

To everyone who submitted a nomination that wasn’t selected this month: please don’t stop nominating. We read every single story, and we hope you’ll come back next month and continue helping us keep the world moving. 🚲✨

FR5 nominations are officially OPEN! For the next 24 hours, we’re looking for individuals who could benefit from a bicycle or tricycle.

For many of us, getting from one place to another isn’t something we have to think twice about. But for millions of people, reliable transportation isn’t guaranteed.
For someone in need, a bike can be life changing. A bike can mean greater independence, access to everyday essentials, or simply the freedom to get where they need to go.
That’s why we created FR5, FREERIDE’s monthly initiative that provides new bikes to people in need across the U.S.

What if helping someone started with simply noticing a need?
That’s the idea behind FR5. 💛
Instead of asking people to apply for themselves, we ask friends, neighbors, teachers, coworkers, family members and community members to nominate someone they know.
Our Angel Riders make that reach even bigger. They’re connected to communities across the country and help us find stories and needs we may never discover on our own.
FR5 creates a network of people looking out for one another.

Transportation insecurity affects millions of people across the U.S., making it harder to get to work, school, healthcare, and the places that keep us connected.
At Freeride, we believe access to reliable transportation shouldn’t determine someone’s access to opportunity. That’s why we provide bicycles and other mobility solutions to people who need them, helping remove one transportation barrier at a time. 🚲
Our FR5 Initiative is one way we’re working to bridge that gap by connecting people across all 50 states with bicycles and tricycles that can provide greater independence and access to opportunity.
Nominations open on the 3rd of every month, and recipients are notified on the 5th.
Because mobility is more than getting from one place to another. It’s access, independence, and opportunity.

Today is International Youth Day! We’re celebrating the young people who remind us just how much possibility can come with the freedom to move. 💛
