I love capturing landscape wedding images. ⛰️📸

Often due to logistics and convenience these scenic shots often happen close to the venue or a short walk away from where we can park.

Naomi & Jack, who recently married at the Town Head Estate, wanted to be a bit more adventurous with their wedding shots and I’m defiantly not going to say no to that opportunity prior to their wedding. 😀

Complete respect to them for getting stuck into a good climb in their wedding attire and I’m just so pleased the images turned out the way they did and this is one of my favourites. 😍

What a brilliant day photographing Amy & Dan’s wedding at Inn on the Lake a couple of weeks ago.
Such a fantastic group of people that made the day so good - emotions, fun and laughter all the way. 😍

I’ve been so fortunate this year to have had so many fantastic weddings, Megan & Chris’s was no exception.
Such a great day with a wonderful group of people, made even better with the awesome venue at Lodore Falls Hotel here in the Lake District and the weather. 😍

There are elegant wedding photographs… and then there’s Victoria and Niall attacking a champagne tower before leading one of the busiest dance floors of the year.

By this point, ties had become optional, the room was full and nobody needed encouraging. Victoria was right in the middle of it, Niall was pouring with confidence and the guests were fully committed.

A very strong finish to an already brilliant day.

I’m a North West Regional Finalist for Wedding Photographer of the Year at The Wedding Industry Awards 2027! @twia_official

A massive thank you to every couple who took the time to vote and share their experience. Knowing you’ve enjoyed having me alongside you, as well as the photographs afterwards, means so much.

After more than 20 years of photographing weddings, I still love being part of it all. The nerves, the laughter, the slightly chaotic bits and those little moments you didn’t realise anyone had noticed.

We’re lucky to have such incredible wedding venues and suppliers here in the Lake District. Being part of that community, and helping make your wedding day a brilliant experience, makes me very proud.

There comes a point in some wedding portraits when walking nicely through a meadow is no longer quite enough.

Emily clearly decided a piggyback was the better option—and Andrew, to his credit, committed fully. Three frames, a field full of buttercups and the sort of laughter that tells you everything about the day.

Exactly the kind of wedding photographs I love: beautiful surroundings, but nothing taken too seriously.

A jacket over the shoulder, a head resting in exactly the right place and a walk beside Ullswater before heading back to the party.

Nothing overly posed and no need for complicated instructions. Victoria and Niall simply had a few minutes together while I photographed the way they naturally moved, talked and laughed.

The huge landscape matters, of course—but the small gestures are what make these photographs theirs.

Quite a setting for saying yes.

Lyndsay and Luke married outdoors in the gardens at @lodorefallsweddings, tucked beneath the trees with the gazebo at the end of the aisle and the hotel rising behind their guests.

These wider photographs are always worth making. They hold the whole scene—the people, the landscape and all the work that went into creating the ceremony—so years from now the couple can remember not only how it felt, but exactly where everyone was.
