POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I'm reflecting on my first growing season here in Texas. This picture is one of my gorgeous spring harvests from my garden plot at @fairmountcommunitygarden . I was gifted all of the plants in my plot last season when they were little baby plants. 💛

This season, for the fall and winter, I started everything from seed. So far, everything is growing beautifully! The radishes are almost ready to pick! They grow the fastest. Going to be sowing more of those for sure.

I'll post baby pics of my new little seedlings next time I go to water them. 🥰 taken in Fairmount-Southside Historic District by @freesoul_holistic

Diets are often
Strict, restrictive, limiting.
Precise, exacting, measured.

Count the quantity.
Count the calories.
Count the times you feel the hunger
And it's not yet time for
That calculated intake.

Cheat on your diet
Cheat yourself?

Fail to stay structured
You're failing yourself?

There's another way.

Know what
your body is asking for
And when and why.

Learn to listen.

Know what will provide what is needed.
Not too little, not too much.

FEEL your foods.

Learn HOW you become what you eat.
Learn how your body
alchemizes, accumulates, acclimates.

Living through this understanding,
Which comes through awareness and experience,
Is all you really need.
And wow, does it feel FREE.

----

DISCLAIMER.. this isn't medical advice. I'm referring to diets for general weight loss, gain, or maintenance in average circumstances. If you are experiencing specific conditions, this may not apply to you.

----

I DO personally encourage everyone to connect with their food and their body in this way whenever possible. Don't let society feed you to death.

Most diets are not right for most people. Every body is UNIQUE and has unique needs. If you're bouncing from diet to diet, or riding the Rollercoaster of "success" and "failure" - please know there is another way.

I'm just tired of seeing people destroy themselves and I want to help people enjoy a healthy life.

I'm open to
learning, discussing, teaching, questions, and ideas.

Social media is such a strange place. I have this page to be in touch with people and to share who I am and what I want to offer the world.

And in doing so I try my very best to be authentic, but social media is innately inauthentic. It tends be be centered around oneself and it is always incomplete. What we share about ourselves here... its curated. No matter how real the post, it still is what we decide to show everyone.

And what we decide NOT to show.

What I DON'T share is closer to who I actually am than what I do share. Those little moments of life. The deepest passions, the heights of happiness, the whirls of emotion, the internal battles. All those little moments are who I am.

And just like me, everyone else has those little intricacies of life, that they don't share. That they couldn't possibly share in completion. The intricacies that really make someone who they are.

Instagram is a brilliant tool for connection, for sharing and for learning. So how do we navigate platforms like this and keep our integrity?

The best way that I've thought of is to share what we feel good sharing, while also sharing things that challenge us - with the intention of creating REAL conversation. With the intention of asking questions and really considering what others share without trying to relate it to oneself. By creating community that has the ability to stretch beyond the physical bindings of space and time.

When you know your way home, you will never be lost for long. When life throws mountains in the middle of your path, it is your guidance system – your unique internal compass – that will show you the difference between forward and back.

It is your internal and eternal center that will show you how to trust yourself, over and over again.

How to make difficult decisions,
how to find your footing,
how to know when to wait.

It is this companionship with one’s self that births authenticity and nurtures beautiful, healthy relationships, respectful communities, and mutually expansive collaborations.

This inner companionship creates trust with one’s self – allowing for the most magnificent dreams to have a seat at the table of realism.

It is this authentic connection with self and with others that brings about the most beautiful life one can conceive of and all of the miracles beyond imagination.

This is why I’ve put my entire life’s work into Creating the Compass.

Because I have lived it.

And so have many.

I feel, throughout life, almost everyone goes through their own phases of separation and reunion within oneself.

Creating the Compass is built to empower you in your navigation of life, with courage and strength, cultivated from the essence of YOUR own soul and YOUR own authentic life experience.

We take a holistic approach, exploring the essential aspects of well-being including environment, physical body, energetic body, mindset, and personal story.

We dive deep into emotional and mental blocks, to better understand ourselves, our situations and our interpersonal relationships.

We build trust in our community to support and encourage us as we shift into a life that expresses Who We Really Are.

You create a vision for your future self and together we bring that to life, focusing on integration to ensure stability and sustainability as you navigate your own process of growth and self-fulfillment.

Doors open for enrollment later this month and will be open for just a few weeks...
...or as soon as spaces fill up.
Only 8 available.

Let's connect if this feels intriguing to you. by @freesoul_holistic

Life, time, age, and death are all perceptions that exist through consciousness and observation.

With the exception of unforeseen sudden death,
we have the ability to hasten or to postpone the decay of our body, mind, and bodily systems.

We also have the ability to create or prolong the optimization of our body, mind, and bodily systems.

The brain consciously or unconsciously governs all organs of the body, the movements of the heart, the working of the lungs and digestive tract, nutrition in general -- all are consciously or unconsciously dependent on the MIND.

The cerebrospinal system gives our entire organism direction - healthful or harmful.

Optimism creates healthy glandular secretions, clean blood, and regular circulation.

Pessimism creates poor glandular secretions, intoxicated blood, and irregular circulation.

Do not focus on your suffering.
Focus on the vitality that you have.
That which YOU ALREADY ARE.

Fear actually poisons the body and mind over time, as it causes glandular secretions that are toxic to the body and harmful to the systems when alertness is prolonged.

Be present in Who You Really Are and be assured that simply a comprehensive natural way of life will give you good health.

I’ve undergone a profound personal journey of self-discovery and healing, navigating through many years of self-abandonment, substance use, challenging relationships, health problems, and professional struggles.

These experiences have led me to a place of deep introspection and transformation, where I’ve learned the importance of boundaries, self-worth, vision, community, and connection to self.

When, in these times of struggle, turning to others for advice led me nowhere… I began to turn to myself through journaling.

This daily practice instilled in me a profound understanding of internal guidance and its role in the relationship with one’s self and in the creation of a fulfilling life.

I came to recognize that only I can truly answer my internal questions and that I must come to my own conclusions.

I saw that advice often does not give complete answers. That others cannot tell you what is right or wrong for you.

Realizing this, further emphasized the importance of self-awareness and inner wisdom in my own growth.

So what is inner wisdom?

I see it as a connection with all parts of oneself – the body, the mind, the emotions, one’s energy field – and an awareness of one’s external reality, that all come together cohesively to form a stable and consistent guidance system that informs all personal decisions, desires, aspirations, and curiosities.

I like to call this space “home” or “true center”.

Where the essence of a person is intimately connected within and with the greater source of all that is – The Creator, God, The Universe, Source.

It is in this space that clarity and direction come nearly without effort.

Where good health is a natural byproduct of inner communication.

Where creativity springs from the mind, the mouth, the hand, the body as a fluent expression of life.

This is the space where peace is inevitable.

Where problems turn into blessings and questions lead to life-changing discoveries.

Blessings. by @freesoul_holistic

Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine with an emphasis on personalized approaches to healthcare, taking into account an individual's unique constitution, Lifestyle and environment. This means that treatment plans are tailored to the specific needs of each person, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Ayurveda is practical for virtually any condition or ailment, from mental/emotional imbalances to accute diseases of the bodily systems.

However, you MUST be willing and committed to taking your health seriously and to making the necessary dietary or lifestyle changes to bring balance into your body and your life.

If this is you and you are serious about sustainably bringing balance to your body and mind, send me a DM. We'll see if this is the right fit for you.

I am a certified Ayurveda Yoga Therapist (2018) and have worked with individuals with a broad spectrum of symptoms and experiences. In addition to this certification, I have studied the body and its systems, healing with food, herbal medicine, yoga asana and several energy healing modalities -- all of which assist and inform my practice in Ayurveda. taken in Fort Worth, Texas by @freesoul_holistic
