i thought i was running from New York...

but I realized I wasn’t running from a place.

I was saying goodbye to a version of myself that was ready for a new chapter.

The version of me who needed to explore, to grow, to experience life beyond what I had always known.

And now, returning after 18years away, I’m seeing the city that raised me through completely different eyes.

Sometimes we don’t leave a place because something is wrong with it… sometimes we leave because our soul is calling us into who we are becoming.

One of the most beautiful reminders I received in Costa Rica was seeing someone fully embrace who they were in every moment.

No hesitation. No worrying how it looked. Just being.

And witnessing that freedom gave me permission to access more of my own.

To dance when I felt like dancing.
To sing when I felt like singing.
To express myself without hesitation

Sometimes the people who inspire us the most are simply mirroring back a freedom that was already waiting within us.
