A few weeks ago during Stellar Awards Week, The Green Room brought gospel industry executives together with leaders across technology, agriculture, government, venture capital, nonprofits and digital media.

The conversations started in the room. The work started the next day.
Introductions became meetings, ideas moved toward execution, and new relationships became real opportunities.

Impact rarely happens onstage alone. Sometimes it begins when the right people sit at the same table.

Stellar's... yeah, that's cool, awesome.

This room... the Green Room...

Curated by Starlit Digital and Foundation.

It was about community, connection, education, technology, STEAM, agriculture, opportunity, wealth building and management, elevated spaces, leverage, training, inspiration, encouragement, faith, courage, vision. Visionaries, the present and the future, taking control of the past, succession, growth, structure, infrastructure—rethinking strategies...

And getting it done.

Change your network... change your net worth.

We officially launched Starlit yesterday here at Stellar Weekend in Charlotte, which @freetyme80 and I started during the pandemic in 2020... we will share the full story later... but FREDA Sylvia POPE WINFREY.

You are one boss, ahh, bleeeeeeep.

Lehhhhgooooooooooooo!

It's REAL different now... thank you, Father.

Take off. 🆙✅🤏🏾🖤✨🙏🏾↗️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️ taken in Charlotte, North Carolina by @freetyme80

ATELIER | Celebrating Our 1-Year Anniversary | A Special Message from Senior Editor At-Large, Technology, Faith & Culture, Freda “Free” Hendley @freetyme80

— Some assignments stay with you long after the story is published. Serving as Senior Editor of Technology, Faith & Culture at ATELIER has been one of those experiences. It’s given me the opportunity to explore the people, ideas, and movements shaping the future while honoring the stories that connect us to who we are.

One of my favorite parts of this journey has been creating alongside Bentley and an extraordinary team of writers, editors, photographers, designers, and creatives. There’s a different kind of energy that comes from working with people who care deeply about excellence and aren’t afraid to see things differently. Every issue has been a reminder that great storytelling is a team sport.

To everyone who has trusted us with your stories, shared our work, and supported this vision from day one, thank you. Your belief in ATELIER has helped transform an idea into a publication with a growing global voice.

Congratulations to the entire ATELIER Global family on an incredible first year. I’m grateful to be part of the journey, and I can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us.

Love you Loud,
Free

ATELIER | Editorial COVER Feature | The Garden of Eva: Cultivating Visibility into Ownership and Influence into Lasting Power @evamarcille

There are few figures in modern fashion and media who have navigated visibility, reinvention, and ownership with the quiet precision of Eva Marcille. To understand her today is to look beyond the images that first introduced her to the world—beyond the high cheekbones, the camera-ready poise, the unmistakable presence—and instead examine the ecosystem she has cultivated over time. Because Eva Marcille is no longer simply a face of fashion. She is a builder of spaces, a curator of opportunity, and a strategist who understands that true power is grown, not given.

Her entry into the cultural lexicon was swift and undeniable. Winning America’s Next Top Model in 2004 during its third cycle, she emerged at a time when the fashion industry was still tightly gatekept, especially for Black models. The victory was more than a title—it was a launchpad into a series of high-value opportunities that extended far beyond the runway. With that win came editorial placements, brand campaigns, and immediate industry visibility, but more importantly, it positioned her within a pipeline of television and commercial opportunities that she would learn to leverage with intention.

ATELIER | Editorial Story | The Book of Jatali: Translating Capital into Culture and Strategy into Scalable Power @jatalibellanton

There are architects of culture, and then there are architects of the systems that determine who benefits from it. Dr. Jatali Bellanton operates firmly in the latter space—quietly, strategically, and with a level of precision that often goes unseen but never unfelt. While many conversations in fashion and media begin with visibility, Dr. Jatali begins with structure. Her work is not about entering rooms; it is about understanding how those rooms are built, who controls them, and how to redesign them for equitable access.

To understand her influence is to look beyond traditional definitions of success. She is not defined by headlines or high-visibility moments, but by the infrastructure she helps create and the capital she mobilizes. With a background rooted in investment banking and finance, Dr. Jatali brings a rare fluency to creative industries—one that bridges numbers and narrative, spreadsheets and storytelling. In spaces where creatives are often left navigating financial systems without a map, she provides both the language and the strategy.

ATELIER | Issue Cover | Beyond The Runway with @jatalibellanton and @evamarcille | @beyondtrunway

In an industry long defined by visibility over viability, “Beyond The Runway” arrives as a necessary disruption—one that reframes fashion not as performance, but as power. What once lived exclusively on catwalks and in campaign imagery is now being reexamined through a sharper lens—one that prioritizes who owns the outcome, not just who creates the moment.

Led by supermodel and media personality Eva Marcille and investor-strategist Dr. Jatali Bellanton, Beyond The Runway (BTR) is not a traditional fashion initiative. It is a global platform engineered to close the gap between creative talent and financial ownership—a gap that has historically left many of fashion’s most influential contributors without equity in the culture they help build.

ATELIER | Arts & Culture | The Rhythm of Discipline: A Conversation with Shawn M. Cumberbatch-Graham, C.P.A. @nygurl212

The conversation begins where many stories about New York eventually do, somewhere between music and movement. Before the boardrooms, before operational strategy and institutional leadership, there was a younger Shawn Cumberbatch-Graham, C.P.A., in the Bronx, moving to music on sidewalks and in community spaces where rhythm was currency and confidence was learned early.

She laughs when the subject comes up. The image surprises people now, she admits. The Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs once spent her afternoons breakdancing, part of a generation shaped by the early language of hip-hop culture. But for her, being a B-girl was never about performance alone. It was discipline. It was timing. It was understanding when to lead and when to move with the rhythm around you.
