Welcome to the forest. 🌲🐦‍⬛
I’m Freja Skogsdotter — a virtual Nordic folk artist born from old stories, ancient folklore, fate, nature, war, love, loss, and the gods who still whisper between the trees.
This is the beginning of a world built through music, mythology, storytelling, and cinematic visuals.
If my songs have found a place with you, you can follow the ravens deeper.

Would you sing this back to me from the front row? 🖤🎤

“Don’t Follow Me Home” — imagined on a festival stage, with the mountains listening.

Turn it up. Let me know which line stays with you. 🐦‍⬛

Some things follow footprints.
Some things follow pain.

And sometimes… the voice behind you sounds a little too familiar.

FYLGJA 🖤
Don’t Follow Me Home

This one feels different from everything I’ve made before.

Should I release it?

There are two things in this video I wish I hadn’t noticed.

The footprints are only one of them.

I heard my footsteps twice in the snow.

One was mine.

I don’t know whose followed.

Something new is coming.
But I don’t think I’m coming alone.

Some journeys don’t take you somewhere new.
They turn you into someone new. 🌬️

“Every leið I walk, I walk on my own,
And the vindr, the vindr, keeps me alive.”

What the Wind Knows is for anyone who had to leave something familiar behind… without knowing exactly where the road would lead.

Maybe freedom isn’t knowing where you’re going.

Maybe it’s finally trusting yourself enough to go.

Where would the wind take you? 🌲

Welcome to Freja’s stage. 🐦‍⬛

I wanted to see what would happen if the songs didn’t just have music videos…
but their own performances. Their own worlds.

So this is the first.

FREJA // LIVE SESSION 001
Ravens in My Head

A virtual performance built around the world of the song.

And this is only the beginning. 🌲

Which Freja song should get its own performance next?

Yesterday I told you what Heimkoma means.
Today, I wanted you to hear it. 🌲

“Every minni I carried, I’m bringing it home…
Every version of me finally answers one name.”

I think that’s what coming home really is.

Not becoming the person you used to be.
Not undoing all the roads you’ve walked.

It’s bringing every version of yourself home with you.

🎵 Heimkoma — Freja Skogsdotter

If this song found you at the right time, tell me where you’re listening from. 🤍
