A little party, pink ballon’s, cupcakes, guests with girls together and dancing was the list for us before she had her special birthday treat with mom and dad … We’ve had the best 3 years ( thanks to George and Rose) and can’t believe they’ve gone so quickly so we are hoping to last and celebrate a few more 🤞💗 #grandparenting by @frenchhelen

Proud Degree graduation day for our Liv, and Mill and Harvey - well done all - it was worth a quick trip to Wales #graduation #proudauntie by @frenchhelen

You don’t often say I’ve made a Willow Swallow but I have ! Another enjoyable session with @artsintheyard with WOYU and this time with the lovely ILdikó @_usefool_ . Next to decide where it goes in the house or garden #newskills #willow #swallow #retiredlife by @frenchhelen

Last day of our Albania tour we drive from Saranda to Mesopotam ( church and views with Bay leaf trees then to Blue Eye National Park ( with its turquoise springs) then Gjirokastra city of stone ( more cobbles) lunch ( last castle ) and then back to Tirana for last night with silly games and songs 🐒again at the back of bus 🚌 🐵
At the Blue Eye some of us catch train there and back some good folk don’t - Vick, Steve and Debs full marks, Sarah half - us no marks 😂 #albania#myholidayinalbania #blueeyenationalpark #trainride by @frenchhelen

Day 6 drive from vlore to Butrint then Saranda. Views along the way of the Ionian coastline and Corfu and the mountains . Lunch including mussels ( they grow along the coast) note the clever wasp trap at our coffee stop sadly they didn’t have them at lunch stop. Then tour of Butrint National Park - UNESCO archaeological site (not animals which I was bit disappointed at and with heat and wasps bit peeved off so not my best day 🤦‍♀️) anyway there was acropolis basilica palace and ruins and beautiful cats ( always cheers me up )- Saranda next was interesting very touristy beach my with a hand - today was long and sadly made longer by a missing bus not best thing to happen - but hotel was lovely amazing views through windows you could fully open! Health and safety slightly different. Then another great evening Albanian wine does help things. #myholidayinalbania #albania Last full day tomorrow you’ll be pleased to hear if u still reading my rambles by @frenchhelen

Day 5 another hot one ( well every day was hot) Drive to Ardenica to Apollonia monastery, church and museum. Then walking tour through Vlorë and to our hotel on the coast and beach for a few hours relaxation- we all ! went in the sea though only Vicky and Sarah went deep enough to swim until a jellyfish bumped into Sarah so then sunbeds watching fishermen before dinner in hotel #albania #myholidayinalbania #albaniatravel #vlore by @frenchhelen

Day 4 to Durres and then Berat in 30 plus degrees- A port city with Roman amphitheater and Byzantium forum, city walls and Roman Baths . Then Berat ( unesco) city of a thousand windows fortress church mosque and a Bridge with the British flag built in. A long hot day required more food lovely Albanian wine and a cake for Steve and I ( no sharing) that was divine #albania #myholidayinalbania #durres#berat by @frenchhelen
