I’M BACK!! In the directors chair. Although I didn’t sit down once lol. A little bts for my latest romcom short Cross the Line written by @kenyajustme starring @oliviagodoym & @ryanbarkauskas Intimacy coordinating by @julia_jaynetx with @quantumboat as our fabulous DP. Produced by @latinadirector in conjunction with @ladirectorslab with @trebetts & @africadabra handling the lights (and fake ceilings) among a bunch of other hands and heads making it all happen. I’ve posted about it, fundraiser, did a little festival run, and now it’s time to set it free. I wrote this short with the hopes of shedding light on the complicated and nuanced emotions of being a victim and survivor of domestic violence. To let those in the thick of it see that they are not alone, and to help their loved ones better understand why maybe they can’t “just leave.”

As a first time director I was so incredibly blessed to have this cast and crew. I owe each and every one of you so much for taking a chance on me.

I hope you watch it, I hope you like it, and yea. :)

Grateful is an understatement. Every day that I get to direct or act is a blessing. Wednesday I got to do both with an incredible group of humans. Some have been in my circle for a long time, some I met when we all arrived at location, but that did not matter. Fast friends, a well oiled machine. The voices of doubt and imposter syndrome get quieter and quieter with each set I get to lead. Thank you to @peyton_skelton_filmmaker @ricardo_med @zekedonovanjones @_jordanhubbard @alysha_y @natliaromangarcia @mullaneyjr @iamvictoriabree @seabanto @ajb__8 @2birds3stones @easterncostumeinc and to the rest of my tribe that support me, push me, believe in me, watch the kids for me, etc all in the name of living the dream. Love you all and can’t wait til the edit is finished. :)
